Finish reading my book by the due date designated below.

Meet with my teacher about my RAFT project at least once.
Talk to my teacher if I am having any problems, big or small, with my reading
selection or my RAFT project.
Design and complete a RAFT assignment following the guidelines developed under
the guidance of my teacher.
Design and create a RAFT project of my own that does not plagiarize copyrighted
sources.
Practice and prepare for my RAFT presentation.

I understand that failure to complete my reading by Monday, October 9, and my

RAFT project on or by Monday, October 23 will result in a lower grade for the
quartile. I understand that this assignment is worth 40 points of my nine-week grade.

RAFT proposals will be due on Wednesday, October 11.

RAFT presentations will run from Monday, October 23 Friday, October 27.

I fully understand this independent reading contract and agree to the conditions and
requirements.
