A healthy diet is the basis for a well-functioning body. Food is the source of energy for all of our
bodily functions and directly affects how our bodies and minds function in every stage life. There are a
variety of reasons why a healthy diet is important, including disease prevention, maintenance of a healthy
weight and quality of life of

Calories are the unit of measure for stored energy in food. The energy provided by food calories is
neededfor every function of the body, including thought, physical activity, growth and healing. According
to Medline Plus, foods containing an equal amount of calories and nutrients are ideal for a balanced diet.
Proteins, carbohydrates and fats are the building blocks of energy. After ingestion, carbohydrates are
broken down into glucose, which provides raw energy that is either used immediately or stored in the
muscles for later use. Complex carbohydrates like whole grains, vegetables and fruits provide a balance
of calories and nutrients, whereas simple carbs such as sugar and white flour are high in calories and low
in nutrients, making them a poor choice for energy production.

A healthy diet helps maintain an ideal body weight and prevent obesity. When eaten frequently,
foods high in saturated fat, trans fat and sugar can lead to excess weight gain and obesity. While calories
are needed for energy, empty caloriesthose derived from foods with little nutritional valuecan lead to
weight gain. Eating foods with a balance of calories and nutrients can help provide the body with the fuel
it needs to function while avoiding weight gain.

Thank God we were born and raised in Malaysia. Malaysia is
acountry of peace and development. Well-being of our
country notonly gives people the opportunity to learn and
work but can preventus from starving. Every day we receive
nutritious foods and live ahealthy lifestyle. However, not
everyone is lucky like us. Congo, Liberia, Burundi is
thepoorest of the three countries in the world. Prices of food
there isvery expensive, resulting in lower income groups
cannot afford tobuy nutritious food. They lack a protein
source such as meat, poultryand fish. In effect, many people
face malnutrition and deficiencydiseases. Therefore, it
makes sense for us to distribute food to theless fortunate
there. In our country, there may also be some among the very
poor thatcannot afford to buy nutritious food. For example,
people who livegelendangan begging and goodwill from the
public. They are not onlyhomeless but no money to buy
nutritious food.Help the gelendangan with food donated to
them. If they eatnutritious food, God willing, they have
enough energy to work andsupport their families. With
distributing food to the poor, it can helpincreasing the level
of their economic social.

CONCLUSION

Conclusion

We are very fortunate to have an abundance of food in our

country. Themulti-racial facet of our country results in a
wide variety of food beingavailable. Some people enjoy food
and they live in order to eat. Others do notcare about food
and they eat in order to live. However, we should eat
inmoderation. Eating too much or too little can be dangerous
and unhealthy. Tomaintain good health, we should eat
nutrition food. The diet must be balanced. We must eat
amounts that are suitable. We must avoid eating junk food.
Thesugar and salt content in junk food is very high. Junk
food containspreservatives, artificial, flavourings and
colourings. These can cause toothdecay, diabetes, obesity,
high blood pressure and even cancer.

We should appreciate our food and dont waste food. We

should have

good eating habits. We should always donate food to the

hungry. Countrieswhich do not have much fertile agricultural
land are not able to produceenough food to feed their
people. Conditions worsen during droughts or
floods.Starvation occurs. Starvation may cause death.
Therefore, we should helpthese victims.
Malaysians are of different races and religions and have
different foodcultures. For example, a vegetarian only eats
food which contains no meat. Some Malaysians do not eat
beef or pork. Therefore, we must be sensitive and

respect one anothers culture

or religious beliefs. If we do this, we can livetogether

harmoniously
