Specifications
This specification covers IVCGraw-Edison POWER DRAWER Wall
Lights for use with 70 through 1000-watt high-in:ensity discharge
Iamps.
POWER DRAWER Wall Lighis shall be catalog number (specify)
and shall include the following leaturesl
General-Unit construction shall consist of a cast aluminum hous-
ing and dooi assembly which shall contain the optical components
and a removable ballast drawer assembly. The unit shall be sup-
ported by a cast al.rminum, adjustable wall mounting fitter.
Housing-Shall be a single piece aluminum casting forming a wa-
tertight shell. ll shall co.tain the electrical and optical component
compartments.
Housing door-Shall be cast aluminum a.d shall hold a heat and
impacl resisiant iempered glass lens. lt shall be gasketed and
hinged to the tixiure housing. lt shall be held in the closed position
by corros,on res'slant caplive screws.
Ballast drawer assembly-Shall be self-contained, removable and
shall support the ballast, socket and polarized quick-disconnect
input plug. 'amp
Wall mounting fitter-Shall be cast aluminum and shall support the
fixture housing. lt shall mount on a vertical tlat surface and shall
have mounting holes for two 3/s-inch bolts. lt shall contain a gas-
keted wiring compartmenl accessible by means of a removab'e
cover plate. Provision for external wiring shall consist ot lwo qa-
inch removable pipe plugs located on two sides ot the fitte.. !t shall
have a back plate and gasket that shall form a weatherproof ioint
with the mounting surface. The back plate shall be removable to
allow mounting of the litter over a 4-inch sqLlare or round electrical
box. The wall mounting fitter shall lrave a knuckle-type, serrated,
calibrated, vertical angl adjustment for precision positioning of
the housing, and shall lock in place with a single, concealed re-
taining bolt.
