Abstract: -

As we all desire that while travelling everyone should reaches his/her desired destination
safely. I am pleased to put forth my proposal of organizing a Hindi street play on railway
safety written by me - Chalo sambhal kar kahi ho na jaye hadse! at four railway stations
viz. Kharghar, Nerul, Vashi and C.S.T.

College Benefits:-

1. Encouraging Indian Cultural and Heritage.

'Nukad Nataks' are plays of time when there was no advanced technology like
TV, internet, mobile phones etc. These were conducted for social awareness,
entertainment, persuasion and recreational. But with the advancement of
technology, the art and charm of street play is forgotten. Event like this will be
a great boost to save the culture and comprehend our roots.

2. Publicity:-

Event can get healthy publicity as report can be published in the local
newspapers (even though I am not in contact with any publisher, I will try to
give proper publicity to this event. We also seek your guidance in this matter).

The report of the event along with the collage of selected photographs can be
uploaded on college's as well as social networking websites. Simultaneously
video of the event can be uploaded on Youtube.

3. Good business:-

Although A.C.Patil College is a temple of learning yet it is also a commercial

organisation. The proposed play's positive publicity can attract good number
of admissions for the next year.

4. College Annual and NAAC Report:

It will add as a social awareness and cultural saviour activity.

5. Students Benefits

It will be an opportunity for participating students to face large number of live

audience. This will teach them how to use their body language, gestures and
expressions in confident way resulting in learning & improvement of their non-
verbal communication.
This activity will teach them interpersonal skills (prescribed in their syllabus) through
drill sessions like leadership, team building, time management, emotional intelligence
and above all they will be motivated from each others performance.

They will learn public transportation ethics (prescribed in their syllabus) and making
an effort to spread social awareness to a large number of live and social media
audience.

It will be recreational activity for them which they will be cherishing even when they
will be alumni of the college.

They will get platform to exhibit their hidden talent.

Script :-

It is a story of a girl who commute everyday from Andheri to Kharghar via Kurla. Through
her journey audience will get chance to see the life of Mumbai local trains through the
characters like hawkers, beggars, thieves, prostitues and variety of people who are satiric.Girl
(protagonist) received a call from her father who stated that her mother had a nightmare
which is ill-omen so she should take care of herself. But the girl gets irritated.

As there is worst frequency for Andheri-Kharghar direct train , the girl got down at Kurla to
change the train but while talking on her cellphone with her boyfriend, instead of crossing the
bridge she preferred to take a short-cut by crossing the track and unfortunately in haste she
met with an accident which results into her death.

Narrators speech and the rules and regulations which includes the penalty and punishment
made by the ministry of railway is the real spirit of the drama. Play ends with chorus.

Play does not hurt sentiments of any caste or religion.
