Nepals Current Population- 28,310,973 (28.31 Million)

- 77.2% of total population are of the age 10 Years and above.
- 23% of total population are Child Population (5-14 Years).

Nepals Youth Population- 37.72% of the total Population (10.68 Million)

- Among the youth population 45.5% are male and 54.5% are females
- 1.4 Million Youths are abroad for foreign employment and among them 93% are males and
7% are females.

Employment
- 82.9% of the people aged 15 years and above are economically active population.
- Out of the total population 79.8% Employed, 3% Unemployed, 17.1% are out of labour
force.
- 29.4% of the total child population are reported to be doing some kind of economic work.
- 62.9% of youths are engaged in agriculture related activities for employment.
- 82.9% males and 74.9% of females are employed.

Literacy
- Total Literacy rate of Nepal stands at 65.94%.
- 57.4% of the females are literate and 75.1% of the males are literate.

GDP
- GDP for the Fiscal Year 2070/71 is NRs. 285,712 crores which increased by 5.38% compared
to that of the fiscal year 2069/70.
- The GDP for the Fiscal Year 2071/72 was forecasted to be NRs. 309488.3 crore which is
3.36% higher compared to that of 2070/71.
