First Grade News


Dear Parents,
Welcome to first grade! We hope that you had a great summer.
Each month you will receive a grade level newsletter from your childs Specials Schedule
teacher. This newsletter will cover important dates, learning standards,
and other important information. We ask that you read the newsletter to M T W Th F

Reading Comprehension Focus


This month we will learn how to identify the main idea and details in nonfiction
texts. We then will learn how to retell a story including the characters, setting, Important Dates
problem/solution, and authors message. (RL1.2, RI1.2)
