As COPD patient can develop systemic effect that affect their skeletal muscle and exercise capacity, patients are likely to curtail their normal activities and become disabled. Measurement of patients exercise capacity tolerance using 6-minutes walking test (6MWT), and quality of life using COPD assessment test (CAT) is necessary to monitor patients objective conditions. The purpose of this study is to find correlation between MIP score with 6MWT and CAT score in stable COPD patients. Design: Cross- sectional Study. Method: Stable COPD patients came to the outpatient rehabilitation clinic was evaluated for MIP, CAT, and 6MWT. The result from 6MWT was taken as walking distance (meter). MIP was evaluated statistically for its correlation to 6MWT and CAT score. Results: From 13 patiens who came to our clinic from July to August 2017, 11 (84.6%) were males and 2 (15.3%) were females. The composition of COPD group consist of 3 patients (23.07%) of group A, 2 patients (15.3%) of group B, 3 patients (23.07%) of group C, and 5 patients (38.4%) of group D. Mean age 63.62.1 years, mean MIP value 51.68.6 CmH2O, mean CAT score 11.074.5, and mean 6MWT distance 393.6144.4 meters. There is significant correlation between MIP and 6MWT (p=0.045, r = 0.563), and there is no correlation between MIP and CAT score (p = 0,845, r = -0,060). Conclusion: From the evaluation of the clinical characteristic of MIP in stable COPD patient, there is fair correlation with 6MWT distance, and no correlation with CAT score.
