Motto, Mission & Vision

Motto
The motto of IIT Kharagpur is "Yoga Karmashu Kaushalam". This literally translates to
"Excellence in action is Yoga", essentially implying that doing your work well is (true) yoga.
This can be traced to Sri Krishna's discourse with Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita. The quote, in
the larger context of the Gita, urges man to acquire equanimity because a mind of equanimity
allows a man to shed distracting thoughts of the effects of his deeds and concentrate on the
task before him. Equanimity is the source of perfection in Karmic endeavours that leads to
Salvation.
Mission
Department Electrical & Electronic Engineering at University of Rajshahi focuses all its
attention to serve the global interest and needs. The mission of the department is-

To provide up-to-date teaching and state-of-the-art research facility to hone the

students professional skills and best-in-class expertise of the respective discipline.
To inspire students for taking part in the modern-day innovation and entrepreneurship.
To gather the highest efficiency in science and technology so as to equip students to
analyze, synthesize and execute projects in these areas.
To undertake sponsored research projects and provide consultancy services in industries
and socially relevant issues.

 The department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is
one of the youngest departments of Rajshahi University which
started its journey in September 2015. This department presently
runs four years (eight semesters) B.Sc. Engineering program with
an annual intake of 30 undergraduate students. It conducts
education and research in four major areas of engineering- Power
and Energy, Electronics, Communication and Computer, with the
goal of producing quality graduates who can become leaders in the
global arena to serve the society, and to perform cutting-edge
research. The curriculum for the B.Sc. Engg. (EEE) has been
designed to make the program goal-oriented.

EEE is the center of todays scientific and technological civilization and is present in all
aspects of modern life. The future prospects of the EEE graduates are very wide and
bright. The demand for environment friendly power generation, more sophisticated
electrical and electronic devices, cheaper and smarter products require world class
electrical engineers. This requirement presents tremendous amount of job opportunities
both at home and abroad for electrical and electronic engineers to choose from.

The department of EEE is looking forward to welcome those bright young students with
dreams and passion to become professional engineers, researchers and academicians.
