What will be the process of
"In Media We Trust?"
PHASE I: TRAINING COURSE,20-29TH OCTOBER 2017

RUSTAVI, GEORGIA

The participants of the first phase should be experienced youth workers, youth leaders and
educators, with experience in working with young people on the local level.
They are not required to have previous experience of working in the topic of media literacy,
but they should be motivated to implement media literacy education in their practice.

The program will consist of discussion, presentations, simulation and role-play activities,
which can be implemented with young people. At the same time, the training course will
also include meetings with different media outlets in Tbilisi and learning about the specifies
of media environment in Georgia and other countries involved.

The participants will stay and work in the International Scout Center Rustavi, which is
located about 30km from Tbilisi (http://iscr.ge/).
Arrival of the participants should be 20th October before 14:00 to Tbilisi.
Departure will be on 29th October in the morning from the venue.
Transportation Tbilisi-Rustavi and back will be arranged by the hosting organisation -
Youth Association DRONI - for the participants travelling in these times.
PHASE II: YOUTH EXCHANGE

1-8TH MARCH 2018

ERFURT, GERMANY

The participants of the Youth Exchange will be young


people that the partner organisation work with.
At least one of the participants of the Phase 1 from
each country should join the Youth Exchange and take
part in the preparation of its program. Selection will
be decided by the partner organisations together with
the organisers of the project.

During the second phase, the group will have a


chance to discuss their habits in consumption of
media, share tips and come up with ideas for more
media literate practice.
At the same time,the participants will have a chance
to learn basics of radio production, conducting
interviews, creating audio stories and podcasts, audio
editing and at the end they will be able to broadcast
their own radio show in Radio F.R.E.I.

During the Youth Exchange, the participants will be


accommodated in the hostel and work in the building
of Radio F.R.E.I., which is a community radio
broadcasting variety of shows for different target
groups from Erfurt. (www.radio-frei.de)

THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES, ACCOMMODATION


AND FOOD IS FREE OF CHARGE FOR ALL THE
SELECTED PARTICIPANTS WHO WILL BE ACTIVELY
INVOLVED IN THE ACTIVITIES.

TRAVEL COSTS WILL BE REIMBURSED BASED ON THE


LIMITS SPECIFIED BY ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME.

INSURANCE WILL NOT BE COVERED BY THE


ORGANISERS, BUT ALL THE PARTICIPANTS ARE
OBLIGED TO PURCHASE VALID TRAVEL INSURANCE.
