Istanbul Technical University, which is about to reach its 250th anniversary, is a university that has deep roots and big
targets for the future. ITU is one of the worlds oldest technical universities that have been the architect of numerous
scientific and technological improvements by breaking new grounds. The heritage of the past is the driving power for
future works. It carries out projects especially in energy, automotive, and aviation that are significantly important
areas for todays world. ITU, which has 360 laboratories and 10 research centers, is a scientific center whereas ARI
Technopolis, a part of ITU carrying out some 200 R&D projects, is a center of science-industry-technology.

INTERNATIONAL VISITING
STUDENTS
International visiting students
are those who are currently
attending a university and would

students attend universities that

will be paying tuition (you will

VISA-RESIDENT PERMIT
According to the recent changes in the
law regarding immigration policy,
Erasmus students, who have EU
citizenship, no longer have to apply for
visa beforehand. You can confirm if you

upon entering Turkey and will apply for
the residence permit (ikamet) here. You
need to complete your application for the
residence permit within the first three
months after your arrival. You will be

All of the exchange and visiting students are allowed to take whichever courses they would like to take
regardless of the major restrictions. Only the courses that have DDP code are unavailable to exchange and
visiting students.

The moment has arrived when you have progressed to a point where you are moving out of the dorm!
This could mean that you have reached the end of your semester.

In order to get your deposit back, most dormitories require that you leave your room in pretty much the
