Well Killing: Well No-Barekuri#3
(27-08-2015 to 19-09-2015: 24 days)
Well Depth= 4032 m, Gas Well, coulnt
stab TSA in the previous workover.
Well was in Shut Condition &
SITP=SICP=1300 psi.
Taken for workover operation for
producing the well.
Started well killing, after pumping 10
bbl of 76 pcf sodium formate solution
pressure rose upto 2000 psi in tbg and
3000 psi in casing. Diverted to OCS.
Pumped a total of 310 bbl (hole volume
= 220bbls) through tbg. Observed
TP=1600 psi and CP= 2200 psi. Well kept
shut in with SITP=3600 psi and
SICP=3600 psi.

Tubing
Pumping was continued & the pressure inside tubing had fallen to 1800 psi & casing to 2400
psi & then started rising continuously, tubing press=2140 psi & casing 2980 psi. Volume
Pumped 240 bbls.
The pumped rate was increased to 40 SPM, considering pumping tubing volume newly in
continuation. The same phenomenon occurred & after pumping tubing volume observed
pressure of 1900 psi in tubing & casing. The pressure again rose, recorded SITP=2600 psi,
SICP= 2700 psi after pumping of 250 bbls fluid.
The SITP=SICP rose to 3600 psi during mud preparation of 77 pcf. Another attempt was taken
with forward circulation at higher kill rate with a pumper unit but same phenomenon
occurred SITP=3000 psi & SICP=3700 psi was observed after pumping 275 bbls of fluid.
