Awiderangeofnewoptionsarenowavailablewiththisheadunitincludingan8.8-inchhigh-resolution
trans-reflectivescreenthatisthelargeston-boardmonitorinitsvehiclesegment.

AswiththelatestCICsystemsaharddiskstoragecapacityof80GBisusedincombinationwiththe
Navigationsystemoption.

Withregardtoaudiosystem,a12GBpartitionofthetotalharddrivememoryissetasideforthemusic
collectionfunction.Musicfilescanbeconverted(ripped)fromCDsorcopiedfromUSBdrivestothe
musiccollectiononthesystemsharddrive.StoringthesefilesontheCIC-dedicatedharddisk,allows
forfastandeasyaccesstothecustomer'smusicatalltimes.Aselectionofupto3700musicfilescan
bestoredwiththesystem.

IncontrastwithCICBasic2(whichhasaCDdrive)CICwithNavigationincorporatesaDVDdrive.

CICincorporatesadoubletunerfortheFM/AMband,oneisusedfortuningtheothertoupdatethe
stationlistandstationinformation.TheFM/AMdoubletunermoduleandtheFM-TMCmodulecom-
binetoformthetripletuner.

Thedigitalradiotuner(IBOC)andsatellitetuner(SDARS)radiosystemsarenowintegratedintothe
CIC,thismeanthereisnoneedtoinstallseparatecontrolunitsforthesefunctions.

Hi-fisoundsystem(SA676)isstandard.
Top(Premium)HiFiSystem(SA677)isoptional.

Aseven-channelamplifierwithdigitalequalizingisintegratedinthehi-fisystem.Theamplifierofthe
hi-fisoundsystemhasnobusconnectionandreceivestheswitch-onsignalinsteadviaaseparateline.

Thebassspeakersareunderthefrontseats.Theyarecoupledtothesidesills.Thatincreasestheres-
onancevolumenecessaryforbassreproduction.

TheCICandCICBasic2headunitscanbecombinedwithallamplifier/audiospeakersystems.

Thehi-fiandTopHiFisystemsfeatureseparatespeakersforthetrebleandmid-toneranges.

Althoughthediametersofthespeakersinthehi-fisoundsystemandTopHiFisystemarethesame,
theperformanceofthespeakersisdifferent.Thisisachievedbyusingdifferentmaterialsfordi-
aphragms,coilsandmagnets.

TheTopHiFisystemsupportsplaybackofmultichannelformats.Multichannelaudioformatscanbe
playedbackviatheCICdriveorDVDchangerforsixDVDs.TheamplifieroftheTopHiFisystemhasno
databusconnectionandinsteadreceivestheswitch-onsignalviaaseparateline.
