OBERG PHASE OUT LIBERTY PHASE 1

Authority
The OBERG PHASE OUT LIBERTY PHASE 1 Project Steering Committee is an advisory committee to the [EXECUTIVE
SPONSOR], [DEPARTMENT] with authority to:

Approve project plans for the [PROJECT NAME] project and approve any changes to the project scope that are within
the bounds of the project charter;
Ensure that the project is consistent with university-wide priorities and objectives and the short and long term strategy
of the University;
Oversee and make recommendations on the allocation of project resources, including human, physical and capital
resources;
Recommend policy for any future upgrades and determine strategic roadmap consistent with University delegations
and policies;
Ensure an appropriate risk management framework is in place for the project;
Make recommendations to the Executive and Business Sponsors on all matters relating to the implementation;
Receive project status reports, and in conjunction with the Business Sponsor, take action to support the project
meeting planned milestone dates and deliverables;
Ensure that project activities are consistent with the Universitys decision and approval procedures.
Ensure that a Communications Strategy is developed and followed to keep University staff and stakeholders informed.

OBERG PHASE OUT LIBERTY PHASE 1
1. Alternative members may be nominated by individual members from their constituency for purposes of attendance at
meetings where the nominated member is unavailable. Alternate members shall have the same status at that meeting as
elected members.

2. Other members may be co-opted from time to time for a specified period and purpose, as endorsed by the Project
Executive Sponsor. Co-opted members will have full voting privileges.

3. Other persons may be invited to attend Steering Committee meetings as required for specific purposes.

Procedures
1. The Chair of Steering Committee will be the [POSITION], [DEPARTMENT].

2. The Executive Officer for the Steering Committee will be the Project Manager.

3. Meeting frequency will be determined by the Steering Committee and may vary according to the project schedule and
imperatives.

4. The quorum will be 50% plus one of total members, including the Chair.

5. Special meetings of the Steering Committee may be called by the Vice-Chancellor or the Project Executive or Business
Sponsors.
