Works by Main Contractor [mc]

The Main Contractor Provisions for MRL Elevators: Related builders works, including but not limited to:
Wire mesh partition, rail guard/mesh/safety chain in the machine room where applicable
Temporary and permanent power supply for installation and testing purposes up to the head of the shaft
as applicable with breakers as per Otis requirements.
Elevator Shaft Air conditioner/ Ventilation of suitable capacity wherever applicable.
Permanent 3-phase 400V 50 Hz and 1-phase 230V 50Hz and circuit breakers/ isolators as required in
Otis shop drawings for all work (Installation, testing, commissioning, and handing over).
Permanent shaft lighting as per Otis shop drawings.
Emergency standby generator of required capacity to run the elevators in the event of power failure all in
accordance with electrical specifications & drawings.
All landing entrance, Barricades as per Otis shop drawings.
Free sensing contacts with wiring from fire alarm panel to elevator shaft.
Remote installation of remote wiring to the BMS room.
All necessary wall openings, pipe sleeves, closure with fire sealant and related civil finishing works.
Providing survey in case of any apparent deviations in civil works and corrective works as necessary
Coordinate installation of sleeves, block outs, elevator equipment with integral anchors and other items
that are embedded in concrete or masonry for elevator equipment.
Concrete door openings to be executed as per the approved Otis shop drawings.
To provide a datum line in elevation at each landing, and sill support angles for sill installation.
All external wiring / connections outside the shaft, and hardware for Interphone, EMS, CCTV, Card, etc.
Third party certified hoisting hooks or beams in the shafts lower slab, as per Otis shop drawings.
Lockable storage accommodation in the ground floor near the lift shaft 15 days before material delivery.
Providing crane and any necessary equipment / facilities to shift material, as per Otis requirements.
All painting, except elevator materials.
All separator beams within the elevator shaft, as per Otis requirement.
Pit separation screens to a height of 2500mm from the pit floor, as applicable

Elevators shaft cannot be used for any services, equipment, or connection other than for lift works.
Finishes by others (floor, ceiling, panels, and decorations) to follow Recess & Weight allowance by Otis.
The main-contractor will ensure that the following preparatory works are completed prior to
commencement of the lifts contract works and finishing work executed on completion in accordance with
measurement reactions and other data as indicated on the layout drawing by Otis.
Third party testing as required by the engineer / client.

Works by OTIS

Supply, installation, and maintenance for one (1) year, of the units specified in Attachment I.
Installation task lighting, power cables for hand tools, temporary works requirement within the shaft.
Guide rail fixing and anchor bolts.
Pit Ladder, as per Otis design.
All guarding of equipment.
BMS & 24/7 civil defense connectivity: provisions are included but without the equipment.

The contractor must arrange for two Client representatives and two Consultant Engineers to visit the
factory prior to shipment of the elevators.
