Roll-A-Dough Letters

Children love to roll dough snakes and make capitals and numbers. They can build them on the cards or in the
tray. This activity helps them build strength in their fingers as they learn letters and numbers.

Materials/Setup Activity
Roll-A-Dough Tray 1. Give each child a letter card and have dough for all to use.
Tray Cards
2. Show children how to roll big and little dough snakes. Show them step by

step how to place the dough on the card.
Grouping 3. Show children how to make a letter in empty trays. Place the letter card

the card above the tray, or even in the tray!
