Snatch theft incident

Encik Daud was watering plants in his house compound one evening. Suddenly, he heard a woman screaming at the top of her lungs (jerit
sngat kuat). He rushed out and saw Puan Zila was dicing with death. She was running after two snatch thieves. They wore masks in order to cover
their faces and they were trying to escape on a motorcycle.

The pillion passenger (pembonceng) was holding Puan Zila s handbag. Without hesitation, Encik Daud called the guardhouse. The guard
quickly called the police. The police caught the snatch thieves shortly after (polis tgkap tak lama kmudian). They settled the case at the police station.

Puan Zila was relieved(lega) to get her handbag back. She thanked Encik Daud and the policemen for their quick action (tindakan pantas). It
was indeed a red-letter day ( hari yg diingati) for her.

Farewell party (parti perpisahan)

Yesterday, the pupils of 6 Siddiq had a farewell party. It was meant for their class teacher as she was going to retire(bersara) the da after. The
also prepared some sumptuous food and a cake for the party.

The class monitor invited all the teachers to merry (meriangkan) the party as saying goes, the more the merrier. They brought many presents
for her as a token of appreciation. When their class teacher came, she burst into tears (nangis). She hugged (peluk) the kids tightly as she felt touched
and it was a sad moment for them.

Their class teacher then gave an appreciation speech for their hard work and efforts. She also thanked them for the party and made it a
memorable day for her.

Camping
Maya and Agnes are members of the Girl Guide. They attended(hadir) a jamboree last month. Hundreds of members from all over the country
camped at the edge(pinggir) of the jungle in Kuala Pilah. They camped there for three days and two nights. They were divided(telah dibahagikan)
into groups by the scoutmaster.

They did some activities such as pitching the tents(mendirikan khemah) and fetching water (angkat air) from the nearby river. They also lit a
few campfires(menyalakan unggun) to boil water and cook some food. They were given challenging activities. They had a good teamwork from the
members as saying goes, when spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion. (pepatah yg bermaksud jika bersatu boleh lakukan perkara yang hebat)

The team with the best teamwork received badges and certificates. Although they were dog-tired(sangat letih), they enjoyed themselves very
much. It was a memorable camping trip for them.
At the orchard(di dusun buah)
Last week, Abu and his brother went to Pak Dolahs orchard. They cycled there. The orchard was about one kilometer from their house.

When they arrived, Pak Dollah asked them to pick(kutip) the fruits and gathered(kumpulkan) the durians in rattan baskets. The rambutans
were tied(diikat) into bundles using ropes. They made his day(gembirakan dia) by helping Pak Dollah at the orchard. They were very carried
away(sangat leka).

After ten oclock, the lorry came. They loaded all the fruits into the lorry to be sold at the market. Pak Dollah paid them some money and
gave them some fruits. They had an enjoyable time there.

How tea is being processed (bgaimana teh diproses)

Adam and his family went to Cameron Highlands for a holiday last year. They went to the tea plantation. They observed(tengok) some
workers only picking the young shoots. The workers threw them into baskets on their backs.

Then, they gathered the baskets fo tea leaves and sent to the collection centre. The worlers weighed and recorded them. After that, a truck
came to take the baskets of tea leaves to the factory.

The tea leaves were dried and procedded. The workers also sorted and graded them accordingly(disusun dan digred dengan bersesuaian).
They placed the tea leaves on the conveyor belt. Later, they were packed neatly and labeled before sending to the supermarkets. Adam learnt valuable
lessons about tea processing.

Satay seller
Pak Ali sells satay along the corridor of a restaurant. Every morning, his workers help him to arrange the tables and chairs neatly by the
roadside. They help him to set up the stall as many hands make light work( pepatah yg bermaksud, kerja jadi ringan jika ramai yang membantu).

Before his customers arrive, he starts a charcoal fire(api arang) and places a wire mesh (jaring dawai) over the fire. He starts to grill th satay
for his loyal customers as Pak Alis satay is the best satay in town.

His loyal customers like to eat at his stall because his service is excellent and the satay is scrumptious. Furthermore, his stall is clean and neat,
so they do not need to worry about eating contaminated food. After they finish their business, they clean up the stall and return home at midnight.
An accident
One evening, Rahman and Amin were cycling home after school. They were joking around(bergurau) while cycling abreast each
other(berdepan satu sama lain) on their way home.

Rahman wanted to overtake(memotong) Amin, so he cycled to the middle of the road. Out of the blue, there was a car coming from behind at
a menacing speed(teramat laju) knocked Rahman down. Amin was shocked while the car made an emergency stop at the side of the road.

Without dilly-dally(berlengah), the driver sent Rahman to the hospital. When they arrived there, the paramedics carefully put Rahman onto a
gurney(katil tolak). He received his medical treatment there. It was a terrible experience in Rahmans life.

A birthday party
Last weekend, Aishah celebrated her twelfth birthday. Her mother threw her a birthday party. They decorated the house with balloons and
colourful streamers. Her mother also prepared some food such as cake, doughnuts and cookies.

In the evening, aishah had invited many of her friends and relatives as saying goes, the more the merrier. They brought and gave her some
presents. They sang a birthday song for her. Aishah was elated (gembira).

Her mothe captured some pictures. They also played some games. Aishah thanked all her friends and relatives for coming to her house. They
had a whale of a time(masa yg sangat seronok). It was a memorable day for her.

A loving father(Ayah yang penyayang)

Encik Amin is a kind and loving father. He is the bread winner(pencari nafkah) in his family. He cares about his daughter, Sashah. Every day,
he sends his daughter to school. Sashah is an obedient girl. He is proud of her.

Encik Amin is a diligent(rajin) salesman. He has many loyal customers. He has sold many cars. Sometimes, he has to travel to many countries
for seminars and training workshops. He also visits the car assembly factories in Japan.

Although he is very busy, he always gets home on time. In the evening, he plays badminton with his daughter. They also jog at the park.
Encik Amin loves his family so much.
A picnic (satu perkelahan)
During the holidays, Lina and her family went to Tiram Waterfalls for a picnic. It is famous for its cool stream. They went there by car. Lina
and her sister were lighthearted (gembira).

When they reached there, they found a shady spot under a tree. They laid the mat to put all their things. Her mother served some food for
lunch. Lina and her sisiter swam in the stream while her father read a magazine.

In the evening, they packed all their things. They cleaned up the place. Her father drove them home. They had an enjoyable time together.

A visit to an orphanage( satu lawatan ke rumah anak yatim)

Last Saturday, the members of the English Language Society visited an orphanage in town. They set off(bertolak) early in the morning by
bus.

When they arrived at the orphanage, they took many photographs with the children. Then the boys helped to clean the compound while the
girls were preparing some food and drinks. After eating, they talked to the children and taught them to sing a few songs.

The orphans were on cloud nine(sangat gembira) to receive some presents from them. They thanked them profusely (berlebihan) for their
kindness. All the orphans were sad when the visitors left. It had been a meaningful day and also been very rewarding to see their efforts bring cheer
to the orphans.
