b) Equipment

 Messrs Tongley Nigeria LTD was awarded a contract for procurement and installation
of equipment to the Department of Chemical Engineering on the 30 th October, 2013 vide a letter
reference No. UA/R/CON/04 (see attached). The Department was also informed by the
Department of Physical Development vide a letter reference No. UA/PD/ADM/01 (see attached)
of the refund of balance of advance payment due to the non-performance of the Contractor.
However, the contract is yet to be re-awarded till date.

Attached also are the list of books and journals required by the department
e) E-Library
50 additional computers are needed in the e-library due the increase in the number of
student intake.
f) Departmental needs
i. 1 Photocopier
ii. 1 Printer for departmental examination officer and postgraduate coordinator
iii. 2 laptops for departmental examination officer and postgraduate coordinator
iv. 5 book shelves
v. 5 File cabinets
