Science or religion? An examination of religious myth.

Harry Sivertsen

In 1971 Keith Thomas of St. Johns College Oxford published a fascinating book titled
Religion and the Decline of Magic. In the course of the work he gave examples of
commonalities between the two subjects. Today we have a different debate, not religion versus
magic but religion versus science. So how are these two seemingly diverse subjects defined?
The word science is ultimately derived from Latin for knowledge, scientia. Hence science can
be described as knowledge. Of course given what is generally known as the scientific
method we can add the words gained by experiment or experience or something similar to
knowledge for a clearer description. However, knowledge is the dominating factor.
Religion on the other hand, as described in 1535 and contained among numerous other
similar descriptions in The Oxford English Dictionary on Historical Principles, is seen as:
Recognition on the part of man of some higher unseen power as having control of his destiny,
and as being entitled to obedience, reverence, and worship etc.
Yet such a description, while perhaps being suitable for the commonly accepted
perceptions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam, does not necessarily fit the multitude of beliefs
that have blossomed among the worlds cultures. Further to this, the primary arguments of today
revolve around the concept of creation ex nihilo or out of nothing versus the scientific approach
of physics and evolutionary biology. Yet while the physics concept of the Big Bang is as well-
known as Darwin and Wallaces ideas regarding evolution, the source for the creation side of the
argument appears in most arguments to be derived solely from the Biblical account. But from
where did this concept arise? Is this a Hebrew construct or can the source be found
elsewhere?
At the end of the flood tale in Genesis Noah was told to repopulate the world. In Genesis
9:1 we read;-
Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth.
Again in Verse7.
And you, be ye fruitful and multiply: bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply
therein.
At the end of Chapter 10 after a list of the descendants of Noah are the words, These are
the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the
nations divided in the earth after the flood.
So can we find any truth in these genetic lists? For that matter is there any truth in the
flood story?
There are numerous flood tales from around the globe, some obviously genuine, some
adapted from the Genesis story and included among these we even have tales of liquefaction of
land from Australia.
Hence there is truth in some but doubt in some others and puzzlement in many because if
these were basically truthful then earth will have been flooded on the grand scale probably more
than onceyet science can find no evidence to support such a notion.
So this leaves us with more questions than the narratives answer.
What about the idea of creation as portrayed in Genesis? Can there be any truth in this
concept?
In fact this is not so far removed from the origins of all as told in India and Egypt. So
perhaps here we find a commonality.
Religious critics claim that religion is based upon belief and not knowledge, but
could not knowledge have led to belief in a similar fashion as scientific endeavour has led to
beliefs of a whole variety of types of knowledge in the modern world? Man had to ask questions
to arrive at the conclusion that Earth was created, he had to have knowledge to raise those
questions. This being the case, religion, as science, is based upon knowledge. Perhaps the
knowledge was of a different variety to that today perceived as valid or possibly there is little
difference and that lacking the learning that has evolved during the past century man arrived at
the only logical answer he could find, an answer that in fact was a very much simplified version of
todays ideas.
So let us examine some further texts to see if any enlightenment arises.
Conceivably, as many of the writings of the religious works stem from earlier oral
traditions, from a time before writing was developed, the meanings of some of the works have
been misunderstood. Possibly much is allegory for something else. Just maybe the strange
tales in fact make references that originally would have been understood in a similar fashion as
do the science reports of today. All it would take is for science fact to be disguised in a story
to make the memorising of the important elements easier than it otherwise would be. What
would result is what we term allegory and indeed, this was a common ploy before the
development of writing.
The well-known scientist Richard Dawkins is vociferous in his condemnation of religion.
Dawkins, along with the British Humanism Association have been involved in the campaign a few
years ago that utilised London buses to carry the slogan There Probably is no God. I agree and in
fact would go further; I am convinced that the principles of the major religions sprang out of what
today would be termed scientific enquiry. Dawkins, in his much acclaimed work The Selfish
Gene, developed the theory of memes, a concept later taken up and popularised by Susan
Blackmore in her book The Meme Machine. A meme is an idea, a tune, a concept that takes over
ones thinking, in Dawkins words, parasitizes the mind. One example Dawkins utilises is the
concept of life after death.
Yet Dawkins, in his blanket negative treatment of religion has allowed his own mind to be
taken over by the meme of religious condemnation. He has not applied the scientific enquiry of
his training to make a value assessment of the works that influence the believers. In othe r
words Dawkins adamant refutation makes him equally as guilty of unfounded belief as he
asserts applies to religious believers. Both are directed in their thinking by memes of beliefs,
the religious of their faith and Dawkins in the non-existence of any value in the religious works.
Let us steer a middle road and reveal what both Dawkins and the religious believers have
missed.
We shall see where early thinking in fact was based upon what today would have been
accepted as logical deduction and not merely faith in a religious concept, the religious element
that embodied such information came later. The main source is ancient Indic material from
where, as becomes apparent in the book Deluge: From Genesis to Atlantis , eventually all the
primary religions took their guide; indeed, there are even commonalities in Egypt. The
information from which the following was developed is derived from this book and reveals the
type of analysis contained between its covers.

Dating early Biblical narrative.

There is considerable debate regarding the composition of Genesis by different authors.

However there is general agreement on the following. The authors of Genesis are known as J and
P, whose accounts were combined by an unknown redactor.
"J" used Yahweh as the name of God, and wrote circa 848BC to 722BC in the southern
kingdom of Judah. [Note: J is the source of the 40 days of rain].
- "P" a priest who lived much later, but at some time before 587BC
P is the author who added to the flood narrative the two periods of 150 days to the pre-
existing 40 days and then to make up the lunar year, added a further two periods of seven days.
He also gave the 15 cubits water depth and gave the age of Noah at the time of the flood. Hence,
according to this scholastic interpretation of the composition of this section of Genesis, the
original Biblical Deluge story of about 800BC held only the astronomical reference to the
Pleiades. The value that is all important to the deciphering of the whole mythological construct
that of the date of Noahs birth, only emerges later, between approximately 600BC and 700BC.
The priestly composer effectively then assembled a second version of the flood story in
about 600BC when the lunar elements, the year of the birth of Noah and the depth of water were
utilised, but not the 40 days of the Pleiades. Then, at some point shortly afterwards, the two
different stories were merged into one relatively coherent whole.
Hence we have a somewhat confused flood story.

The Celestial flood version

However there emerges reference to the lunar year and hence months and the Pleiades.
So it is certain that the heavens played a considerable role here. We need tease the facts from the
scattering of ideas to discover just what was meant by this flood tale. However, it was made
plain that the destruction was Gods retribution for the loss of moral standing amongst mankind.
This has a familiarity and can be seen as a similar concept to the Kali Yuga of India. At the end
of this period the Earth suffers a cleansing period which is led by the character known as Kalki
who is described as a centaur in a very similar manner as the King of Kings is described in the
Biblical Book of Revelations. If, as is suspected, this is another cosmological reference then we
are looking at Sagittarius.
So it appears that a link to India may exist. Let us therefore examine this possibility. The
Indian equivalent of Noah was Manu. There is a list of Manus in addition to there being 14 of
these to the duration of a day of Brahma which is a part of the yuga description.
The earliest Manu was associated with the sun and the next, the offspring of the solar
connected Manu was directly connected to the north polar star.
We read in Wikipedia [Manu (Hinduism)] that: According to the Puranas, the genealogy
of the 7th Manu, Vaivasvata is as follows:
1]Brahma

2]Marichi, one of the 10 Prajapatis created by Brahma.

3]Kashyapa, son of Marichi and Kala. Kashyapa is regarded as the father of humanity.

4]Vivasvan or Surya, son of Kashyapa and Aditi.

5]Vaivasvata Manu, originally Satyavrata, son of Vivasvan and Saj.

6]Ikshvaku, Nabhaga, Narishyanta, Karusha, Prishadhra, Dhrishta, Sharyati, Pramshu and

Nabhanedishta were the nine sons and Ila was the only daughter of Vaivasvata Manu

Therefore Surya the Sun god can be equated with the first Manu because he was Manus
father and according to this listing that means that the association with Vaivasvata Manu is with
the pole star Tau Hercules. Vivasvan or Surya, the sun god, relates to the period of the earlier
pole star, Vega and is directly associated with the star Spica in Virgo which rose with the sun at
the vernal equinox in Virgo at that time. Creation was by Brahma or to use his Vedic title,
Vishvakarman. However, we have seen how the Manus in the yuga system are directly related to
Brahma.
The pole star indicated below is that of Tau [Hercules]; the river is the Milky Way.
Hercules with the pole star Tau was in operation from 8100BC to 7100BC and at autumn
equinox during this era close to midnight the constellation Hercules could be seen depicting the
character Manu as described below, standing on one leg with arms raised adjacent to the bank of
the Milky Way. The Seven Rishis are the stars of Ursa Major otherwise the Great Bear, Big
Dipper or Plough. These circle the pole star position. Regarding timing the 10,000 years is in fact
1,000 years. The Indian seers had a habit of increasing values by the factor of ten. This is the
period of the pole star Tau [Hercules] with its peak at 7600BC.

Then Yudhishthira, the son of Pandu, said to the Brahmana, Markandeya, 'Do thou now
narrate the history of Vaivaswata Manu?

"Markandeya replied, 'O king, O foremost of men, there was a powerful and great Rishi
of the name of Manu. He was the son of Vivaswan and was equal unto Brahma in glory. And he
far excelled his father and grandfather in strength, in power, in fortune, as also in religious
austerities. And standing on one leg and with uplifted hand, that lord of men did severe penance
in the jujube forest called Visala. And there with head downwards and with steadfast eyes he
practised the rigid and severe penance for ten thousand years. And one day, whilst he was
practising austerities there with wet clothes on and matted hair on head, a fish approaching the
banks of the Chirini, addressed him thus 'Worshipful sir, I am a helpless little fish, I am afraid
of the large ones; therefore, do thou, O great devotee, think it worth thy while to protect me from
them; especially as this fixed custom is well established amongst us that the strong fish always
preys upon the weak ones. Therefore do thou think it fit to save me from being drowned in this
sea of terrors! I shall requite thee for thy good offices.' On hearing these words from the fish,
Vaivaswata Manu was overpowered with pity and he took out the fish from the water with his
own hands. And the fish which had a body glistening like the rays of the moon when taken out of
the water was put back in an earthen water-vessel. And thus reared that fish O king, grew up in
size and Manu tended it carefully like a child. And after a long while, it became so large in size,
that there was no room for it in that vessel. And then seeing Manu (one day), it again addressed
these words to him, 'Worshipful sir, do thou appoint some better habitation for me.' And then the
adorable Manu, the conqueror of hostile cities, took it out of that vessel and carried it to a large
tank and placed it there. And there again the fish grew for many a long year. And although the
tank was two yojanas in length and one yojana in width, even there, O lotus-eyed son of Kunti
and ruler of men, was no room for the fish to play about! And beholding Manu it said again, 'O
pious and adorable father, take me to the Ganga, the favourite spouse of the Ocean so that I may
live there; or do as thou listest. O sinless one, as I have grown to this great bulk by thy favour I
shall do thy bidding cheerfully.' Thus asked the upright and continent and worshipful Manu took
the fish to the river Ganga and he put it into the river with his own hands. And there, O
conqueror of thy enemies, the fish again grew for some little time and then beholding Manu, it
said again, 'O lord, I am unable to move about in the Ganga on account of my great body;
therefore, worshipful sir, do thou please take me quickly to the sea!' O son of Pritha, Manu then
taking it out of the Ganga, carried it to the sea and consigned it there. And despite its great bulk,
Manu transported it easily and its touch and smell were also pleasant to him. And when it was
thrown into the sea by Manu, it said these words to him with a smile, 'O adorable being, thou
hast protected me with special care; do thou now listen to me as to what thou shouldst do in the
fulness of time! O fortunate and worshipful sir, the dissolution of all this mobile and immobile
world is nigh at hand. The time for the purging of this world is now ripe. Therefore do I now
explain what is good for thee! The mobile and immobile divisions of the creation, those that have
the power of locomotion, and those that have it not, of all these the terrible doom hath now
approached. Thou shall build a strong massive ark and have it furnished with a long rope. On
that must thou ascend, O great Muni, with the seven Rishis and take with thee all the different
seeds which were enumerated by regenerate Brahmanas in days of yore, and separately and
carefully must thou preserve them therein. And whilst there, O beloved of the Munis, thou shall
wait for me, and I shall appear to thee like a horned animal, and thus, O ascetic, shall thou
recognise me! And I shall now depart, and thou shall act according to my instructions, for,
without my assistance, thou canst not save thyself from that fearful flood.' And there was
water everywhere and the waters covered the heaven and the firmament also. And, O bull of
Bharata's race, when the world was thus flooded, none but Manu, the seven Rishis [seven sages]
and the fish could be seen... ...I am Brahma, the Lord of all creatures; there is none greater than
myself. Assuming the shape of a fish, I have saved you from this cataclysm. Manu will create
[again] all beings--gods, Asuras and men, all those divisions of creation which have the power
of locomotion and which have it not. By practicing severe austerities he will acquire this power,
and with my blessing, illusion will have no power over him.

Mahabharata Varna Parva SECTION CLXXXVI

Given that Manu and the seven rishis [Ursa Major] are aboard the boat and Manu is seen
as Hercules, that the period seen in the extract is for the duration of the pole star we now have
the constellation Hercules and the Great Bear moving away from their places in the sky. This
was a heavenly flood. Indeed in Genesis 1:6-10 we read of the location of a heavenly ocean. We
now know why the Egyptian Ra required a boat to traverse the skies each and every day. The
Indian Varuna also enjoyed moving about in a heavenly boat.

Manu will create againas he has the creative powers of Brahma He was the son of
Vivaswan and was equal unto Brahma in glory.

While Manu carried some seeds aboard the boat this is entirely different from the Genesis
version where Noah has to carry a menagerie in his vessel.

So at the beginning we had Brahma creating all there was but this was at the command of
Brahman who is in all and is fact is all from thought to rock to the stars above. Brahma can only
be adequately described as energy and that energy required a creator to turn energy into form.
Hence Brahman created a creator, he will Brahma into being. Apart from the addition of a
creator this concept is not so very far removed from the modern ideas regarding the cosmos and
the Big Bang, all was initially energy.

This was the basics of the Indian concept although much later Brahma and Brahman were eased
to one side for Vishnu.

Note: - Indian religions and creation concepts, the instigators of creation and associated matters
are far from straightforward and here the whole concept with its character changes is greatly
simplified. The principle remains however in that a power which can only be seen as energy
required a creative impulse to bring existence out of non-existence.
In the extract below the Supreme Lord is Vishnu.

Now for Dhruva.

(18) Maitraya said:- After thus truly being worshipped by means of the fines intelligence
of his good intentions only, the Supreme Lord who is always there in favour of His devotees
spoke to him, after first having congratulated him.
(19) The Supreme Lord said, I know about the determination within your heart oh son of
the king. Since you are sworn to piety, I shall grant you all the fortune, even though it is a wish
difficult to fulfil.
(20-21) Never before my good boy, there was anyone who managed to settle for such a
brightly glowing place known as the planet of Dhruva around which all the other planets and
constellations of stars are circling like a group of tethered bulls does running around a pole[for
crushing grain]. It is the planet which, keeping it to their right, along with the stars, all the sages
of the forest move circumambulating like Dharma,Agni,Kasyapa and Sukra whose lives stretch
beyond a millennium.
(22) As soon as your father has left for the forest you will be awarded the entire world. It
will be under the pious protection of your rule uninterrupted for 36000 years in full control of
your faculties.
(25) Thereafter you will head for MY abode that is worshipped on all planets and is
situated above those of the rishis [Seven Sages or Ursa Major]. Having gone there, you will
never come back.
Srimad Bhagavatam 4.9.18-25

Hence we have the tale of Druva and the implication here is that this is the pole star
which is called Dhruva. However the canonical flood period is 3600 years [as counted from
Vega to Tau Hercules] while the pole star is in place for 1000 years. Hence as this is the case
what we have is Dhruva having responsibility for Earth and heavens for the period when the pole
star is not in place [verse 22]. So the north celestial pole is Dhruva whether or not there is a star
is place. Dhruva is not the pole star as is often stated, Dhruva is the north celestial pole position.
Briefly then we have fear of a destruction in the heavens via a flood when the pole star
moves out of place and people were terrified that the heavens would fall, the pillars supporting
the sky would collapse, the strings keeping the planets and stars rotating around the pole star
were brokenetc. This is clearly seen also in Chinese mythology.
While the Indian works claim that the boat was to land among the Himalayas this almost
certainly is an adaption from the region of Turkey where in the distant past Indic influence was
considerable. The Chaldean legend has the boat at Mount Nizir and this is correct. The location
is adjacent to the village of Uzengilli and can be found on Google Earth by searching for Noahs
Ark National Park,Turkey. It is a geological anomaly that is boat shaped and in length measures
528 feet [300 cubits at 1.76 feet] Its beam is 88 feet [50 cubits at 1.76 feet] x the golden mean of
1.618033988. Hence we have the stone boat having a beam of 142.3869 feet and this, as
strange as it may seem because this is an odd measure, is the length of the funerary boat of
Pharaoh Khufu. Other dimensions within Khufus pyramid also parallel the dimensions applied
to the Ark as described in the book Deluge: From Genesis to Atlantis.
Notably Noah was born in the year 1056 after creation. The cubit value applied to his Ark
at 1.76 is the cubit directly related to the reed length [six cubits to the reed] of 10.56 feet. This is
a value commonly utilised in mapping scales prior to metrication and indeed is still used albeit
less frequently than formerly.
The flood, given its pole star association is cyclic as are the supposed destructions in the
Bible but to make things easier for the Hebrew history narrators the 40 days and nights of rain
were utilised. This did not happen. The 40 days of deluge is reference to the loss of view of the
Pleiades for 40 days and nights when their rise was close to the sun and the view was lost. This
was a commonly cited scenario written of by Hesiod in his book Works and Days. In India it was
said that the Pleiades always rose in the East in reference to this situation. As they rose in the
east and this was at the vernal equinox they were invisible due to their proximity to the sun.
Prior to Solomon setting up the Hebrew calendar the year commenced with the first new
moon after the winter solstice and the second month 17th day that was said to be the start of the
rains actually is correct for the 20 days before the vernal equinox for the loss of view of the
Pleiades [or it would be if the date were 2900BC] but here the concept is correctly applied to the
year 2300BC. I state correctly, because the count of days given in Genesis gives the correct
count to the vernal equinox but it remains incorrect because the Pleiades had moved a bit since
2900BC when this concept was at its most accurate.
The pole star succeeding Tau [Hercules] was Thuban in Draconis and this arrived at
3300BC. There are two elements here to note. Firstly the period from the loss of Tau [Hercules]
was 3800 years and not the canonical 3600 years and secondly the 1000 years of the jurisdiction
of Thuban as pole star ended at 2300BCthe very year that the authors of Genesis decided fitted
the count of days for the 40 days loss of view of Pleaides, the year that they calculated for the
flood. IN effect, they confirmed the association the pole star loss with the flood. However this
did confirm the accurate record keeping of the calendars in association with the years
commencement prior to Solomon.
So no 40 days of rain but a date for the next pole star loss which was well understood
else why implicate this specific date which complies exactly with the count of days for the
Pleiades scenario and the loss of the pole star Thuban from its 1000 year reign? These guys had
good records from which to work.
So we can see that when the narratives are evaluated the Bible concurs with the Indian
notion. Even the counts of years apply.
There are in Ezekiel mention of the idea of a year for a day and vice versa referring to a day of
God equating with a year of man.
Ezekiel, Chapter 4:
4
Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to
the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
5
For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three
hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6
And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the
iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
And again in the Book of Numbers, Chapter 14
33
And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until
your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.
34
After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a
year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise
In the latter extract can be seen the reversal of the day for a year where a year is
substituted for a day. This interchangeable feature using the factor 36 is a valuable tool for the
decipherment of a number of Biblical and other religious mythical tales.
Effectively this year for day concept is derived from the polar regions where the Sun is
seen for a single period during the year against the daily appearance and setting further south.
This would have eventually been recognized by man due to observance of the seasons and
realization that earth is at an angle to the sun.
Finally, there is one other self-evident concept that will be seen to be important later,
sometimes associated with the factor 36 [along with a denominator]. Here we examine 2 Peter
3.8:

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a
thousand years are like a day.

Now back to Genesis and the pole star values. The flood occurred in the year 1656 and
was complete at the end of that year. The pole star period is 1000 years which actually is the
creation era in India as at its end we have the destructive era of the flood. The period of the flood
when there is no pole star is 3600 years. A total here of 4600 years. So can we evaluate 1656
years with 4600 years?
Using the day for a year and day equating with 1000 years then indeed this is the case.
The 360 day year that is used Biblically and also in India x 4600 = 1656000. Divide this count
of days by the 1000 seen in the citation from 2 Peter 3.8 and we have 1656 years, [a day equals
1000 years]the count of years given in Genesis.
Hence when the values given are fully analysed using the Bibles own rules we have a
parallel in timing to the Indian concept which is purely astronomical. The Bibles values here
agree with the pole star periods.
Noahs offspring were supposed to have bred the populations that built up the Middle
East. The end of the flood that involved these characters was in 3300BC just before the pyramid
building era of Egypt. Hence while not a practical period for a breeding program for many
thousands of people it does at least put them in the right era. If we follow the 40 days of rain
dating we have 2300BC when most of the pyramids were already built.
So from a religious story we have now arrived at a set of allegorical writings that tell of
the gain and loss of a pole star then the gain and loss of a further pole star. The Book of
Revelations goes much further with accurate predictions regarding these stars!
However what emerges here is not religion but allegory for astronomical events and that
can be termed science and not religion. These tales were constructed long before the advent of
writing systems as an aid to memory. Indian narratives are mainly of events in the skies and
accurately date the occasions via recorded observations. Hebrew narratives follow in suit but
with detail of earthly events as wellsome accurate some doubtful.
There is a precursor to parts of the Book of Revelations in the detail in Ezekiel of the
building of Solomons Temple. Again some of this is astronomical and definitely reflects the
Indian concepts.
Solomons Temple is an Earth representation although this is only apparent from the
applied dimensions. The area of land containing the Temple is given the title The Oblation to the
Lord. This land area is rectangular and is a representation of Noahs Ark, a larger than life
version. So we now have Earth [Solomons Temple] within Noahs Ark. This of course again is
allegorical but looking back to the flood story we had the elements of Earth saved in a boat. So
now we view a repeat of this scenario. Then when we examine the location of the Temple, it is
seen that previously was threshing floor where cattle are tied to a central post and continually
walk around this poste working the grain.
We earlier read in the Srimad Bhagavatam the following

(20-21) Never before my good boy, there was anyone who managed to settle for such a
brightly glowing place known as the planet of Dhruva around which all the other planets and
constellations of stars are circling like a group of tethered bulls does running around a pole[for
crushing grain]. It is the planet which, keeping it to their right, along with the stars, all the sages
of the forest move circumambulating like Dharma,Agni,Kasyapa and Sukra whose lives stretch
beyond a millennium.

So now we see a similarity in description of the location of this Temple to the Lord where
He has his own Holy Place, the Debir. Brahma had his home at the pole star as did the later
Vishnu; the pole star is seen as the home of GOD. So this threshing floor would be a good place
for the temple.
In the Book of Revelations we read the following

Revelation 21
1
And I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth: for the first Heaven and the first Earth were passed away;
and there was no more sea.
2
And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a
bride adorned for her husband.
8
And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues,
and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
Revelation 21 13-17

These verses relate the dimensions of the city, 12000 furlongs in all directions, a cube with three
gates per side named after the Apostles. The city wall was 144 cubits high. 12,000 furlongs at 625 x
1.056feet [relevant foot value and count of feet in furlongs] = 7,920,000 feet where the diameter of Earth
is 7,920 miles. Solomons Temple was an Earth representation at Jerusalem.
Here we have the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven.
As the description of Solomons Temple clearly described its location within the Oblation to the
Lord which was an enlarged version of Noahs Ark and here it arrives descending from heaven and as the
location of Solomons Temple was an emulation of the north celestial pole position do we not see a
combination of the Genesis flood tale and that of the Indian narrative?
Revelations has count of seven kings. It is a prophetic work that describes the time when Polaris
in in place. It tells of the cleaning of evil that allows this to take place.
Revelation 17
10
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he
cometh, he must continue a short space.
These kings are pole stars. The one that is currently resident, the one that is as it is
worded in the above verse, Polaris, is Christis God. Autumn view of Ursa Minor at close to
midnight for the period when Polaris is pole star, 1600AD to 2600AD will show the constellation
looking akin to a throne with the pole star at its head. Here is the heavenly throne. Pole star
location is the home of God.
The pole star sequence commences with Alderamin [Cepheus] at18200BC then there was
Delta[Cygnus] at14200BC; Vega [Lyra] 12200BC;Tau[Hercules]7600BC; Thuban [Draconis]
2800BC; Polaris [Ursa Minor] 2100AD and finally Errai [Cepheus] at 4420 AD.
Chris is seen as Polaris during the period when we have Satan thrown down into the
bottomless pit for 1000 years. This evil influence is then let out for a short or little season. This
is the short period between Polaris and Errai [Cepheus]. Polaris finishes as pole star in 2600AD
and Errai takes over in 3920 AD which is no pole star era of just 1320 years, a little season
indeed.
Revelations also tells of a vision of Sagittarius the centaur which is virtually exactly the
same description as that for Kalki he cleanser at the end of the Kali yuga of India and applied to
the same section of the zodiac.

Sagittarius or a New Beginning

Revelation.6.2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was
given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Revelation 19
11
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and
True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that
no man knew, but he himself.
13
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and
clean.
15
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule
them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF
LORDS.
The primary connection here once more is astronomical as this man on a white horse in reality is
a reference to Sagittarius, the centaur with a bow, the Indian Avatar Kalki who has the role of cleansing
at the beginning of the new creation. As with the Yugas, Revelation describes Sagittarius or Kalki in its
precessional position, the emphasis on kings which correspond to Pole Stars confirms this analysis. The
white horse and bow is a direct parallel to the Indian Kalki, the cleanser, the description here being
virtually identical to that of the 22nd Avatar of Vishnu as seen in the Srimad Bhagavatum. Kalki
traditionally arrives at the end of the Kali Yuga and effectively prepares all for a new cycle at the
beginning of that cycle. In this count, as described in the verses of Revelation, we have a clear vision of
the beginning of the next cycle of pole stars, a cycle associated with Sagittarius or Kalki as portrayed in
the Mahabharata. The vision derived from Revelation is forward looking, a view beyond Polaris, the next
pole star or king to beyond that following, and to the beginning of the cycle in Sagittarius when the fallen
kings are once more upstanding until they take their position at the North Celestial Pole.

Conclusion

Before concluding, while it is clear that the pole stars play a significant role here there is also the
fact that there was flooding in the distant past, the inundations caused by ice melt after the last Ice Age.
People arriving at Merhgarh, India [now Pakistan] were flooded out from their home in
Sundaland [South Malaysia] and it was these folk who led the way in development in India. However,
what is related to the explanations here is that it is mere coincidence but there was a climate turndown
when Tau Hercules was in position and that meant a temporary change from flooding. Effectively it must
have been seen that the loss of a pole star meant there will be a flood and the gain of one will mean the
floods will ease. This would have been reinforced by those close to the equator who witnessed the loss of
Vega because simultaneously they lost Canopus in the south.
Hence in association with pole stars there actually was flooding on earth but again the dating was
directly associated with pole stars.
This narrative commenced with the question of whether we are reading science or religion in the
early texts. It has now been seen to be science onto which religion was imposed. Observations of the
skies enabled an understanding at least of sequences of events and observations were recorded. To have
an observation from 6681 BC to be recorded then be read in 2017AD and the actual date discovered, a
date that then complies with other records, of events of climate change etc given in other documents
informs us that the recording was accurate. This was 8698 years ago from this year 2017 and yet it was
accurate. The date here refers to the yugas which apart from the cleansing actions of Kalki cannot be seen
as religious, hence we are looking at what can rightly be termed scientific observation and recording.
The Indian flood tale tells of the loss of a pole star and the eventual gain of a new one while the
Hebrew adaptation deviates, it does maintain the original implications. Hence ultimately it can be
concluded that much of the writing contained within religious works is much more of a scientific nature
than a religious concept.
