Uniformity of Mass of Single-Dose Preparation

1. Take 20 units randomly and weigh individually or for single dose preparation presented in
individual containers, the contents of 20 units.
2. Determine its average mass.
3. Not more than 2 of the individual masses deviate from the average mass by more than the
percentage deviation shown in Table 2 and none deviates by more than twice that percentage.

Tablet thickness and Diameter

1. Using a Vernier caliper, measure the thickness and diameter of 10 randomly picked tablets
individually.
2. Calculate its average diameter and the average tablet thickness.
3. Institute the specification borders for the thickness and diameter if the percent deviation is +/-
5% of the average measurement.
