By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-
1. Read and understand a text by answering at least 5 out of 7
questions in a quiz correctly.
OBJECTIVE
2. Identify characteristics of fruits and listing down at least 4
characteristics on the paper.

21ST CENTURY SKILLS Critical Thinking

1. Teacher shows the song fruits family. Pupils have to sing along.
2. Teacher shows a poster of a pineapple and explains about its
characteristics.
3. Pupils are asked to state another characteristics of the
pineapple.
4. Teacher shows the story in the text book.
5. Teacher reads aloud the story introduces the vocabulary in the
text.
6. Pupils are reuqired to read aloud.
ACTIVITIES 7. Pupils are divided into groups and given a piece of paper.
8. Pupils are asked questions about the text and they have to
discuss in their groups and write the answers down.
9. Teacher checks the answer of each group.
10. Each group are distributed each a different type of fruit and
they have to draw and write at least 4 characteristics of the
fruit on a paper.
11. Teacher facilitates pupils throughout the activitiy.
12. Pupils are asked to recall back the names of the fruits they
have learnt.
