Dear automobile enthusiasts,
It is with great pleasure that Im presenting you the 2017 edition of the Norev catalogue.
As the last and oldest independent and family owned manufacturing company (founded
in 1946), we have remained faithful to the ambition of the Veron brothers: developing and
manufacturing the best modelcars in the world.
Best due to the precision of the details, the quality/price ratio and the accuracy to the
original vehicle.
We are specialists in the manufacturing and distribution of model cars for car enthusiasts,
car makers, collector shops, Internet and mail orders.
We are also involved in toy vehicles for children through toy stores.
We support our customers with their development, we consolidate our partnerships with
our suppliers, we invest in the skills and the passion of our team and we involve them in
our success.
In this edition, some of them are advising what they are preparing for the fans of our
brand and of cars.
Our company enjoys a great reputation among experts, it is not only due to the perfection
of our production but also the amount of knowledge and talent in our workshops
This legacy is also explained by our founding values which have enabled the Norev
Company to forge its own destiny by imposing its difference.

Norev offers in its current collection more than 300 different models manufactured in
small quantities going from 100 pieces to a few thousand.

our requirements during all stages of production and the long months necessary for the
development and the manufacturing make each NOREV model produced a rare and

Cest lors dune exposition en 2014 Lyon quAxel Fischer prsident de lentreprise NOREV a eu
connaissance de mon travail pictural. Par la suite, la dernire prsentation que jai faite New-York
la Galerie Bertrand Delacroix a permis Axel de dcouvrir rellement mes huiles sur toile et la relation
que jentretiens avec le thme des jouets, de la famille et de lenfance. Une rencontre dans ses ateliers
lyonnais ma donn loccasion darpenter lunivers labyrinthique des tagres de miniatures de son
usine. Quelle ralit avions-nous en commun? Celle du "jouet voiture", de la miniature lchelle,
de lautomobile rduite et son cortge de lgendes pour tendre vers le dsir de mise en scne,
invitablement. La magie de la rduction en plusieurs tailles vers le minuscule cre une fascination
partage, celle qui nous presse figer notre regard dans un diorama, une maquette ou bien une
peinture. Ainsi, la plus troite proximit tait identifie et se situe aujourdhui dans la ncessit de faire
vivre nos visions respectives dans un projet de cration. Il nous fallait animer le minuscule
Un "voyage acidul", celui de laccident du pont en nougat ou dune dpanneuse dantan tentant
dextraire dune rivire fruite et de cerises confites une DS Citron en mauvaise posture. Une autre
toile voque une srie de botes en carton NOREV trouves dans un grenier poussireux irradi de
la lumire dune fin daprs-midi. Jai donc la chance par le biais de cette collaboration de pouvoir
poursuivre un travail pictural engag depuis plusieurs annes autour du jouet et de la famille. Davoir
pu faire ma place dans le projet NOREV me semble gage de nouveaux projets inventifs.

Artisanalement, jlabore des toiles peintes uniques et me voil face lindustrie qui multiplie et
dploie en miniature les lgions de petites autos. Voitures sorties de leurs botes en carton doivent Le Signe carlate, Frdric Deprun, 50x50cm
rejoindre les collections ou les coffres jouets denfants. Les visions ont vite fait surface! huile sur toile, 2012, Collection prive

De la Dauphine des congs pays en passant par la Peugeot 202 et ses deux phares sous calandres,
les paves rouilles rencontres dans les champs en campagne au moment de lenfance, lodeur du
ska des siges de la R16, les bandes blanches qui traversent la carrosserie de la Shelby Cobra mais
aussi celle de la Renault 8 "Gordini" du sicle dernier. Du sobre combi Volkswagen des rues de Hanovre
en 1958 celui plus fleuri des annes hippies dix ans plus tard, le contexte change radicalement la
perception dun vhicule. Un inventaire est possible voquant une multitude dexemples.

Chaque image de voiture devient une madeleine de Proust et produit du sens dans son sillage pour
irradier de mille histoires.

Un projet tait en train de natre, celui denvisager llaboration dune srie de peintures travers
diffrentes scnes. Nous avons tout dabord choisi lunivers du sucr, du bonbon, de la friandise,
de lacidul pour construire des dcors qui ont permis daccueillir un choix de miniatures qui
faisait sens. Dans mon atelier de la Croix-Rousse Lyon, terre dorigine des usines NOREV, la mise
en lumire est russie et cest une premire tape vers la cration dune srie dhuiles sur toile.

Heritage, Independance & Tradition Since 1970, Norev is involved in the world of motor races by sponsoring prestigious drivers: Jimmy Mieusset, Henri Pescarolo on Surtees and

Norev GmbH was founded in 2005 with the aim of being able to better
market Norev products in Germany and to establish a point of contact for
the German automotive industry.

During the initial phase, this was difficult because of the brands low level of awareness,
meaning that both dealers and local carmakers had to be persuaded of the value of our
products. Having employees with experience in the sector, as well as an efficient sales force
allowed us to quickly overcome the difficult initial period and began a successful time which
continues to this day.

Today, Norev is also a well-known brand in Germany, and one which is appreciated by collectors
and by the demanding German automobile manufacturers.
