Our School's Co-operative Education Program combines,
relevant job experience with classroom studies. Students
complete up to five work term semesters, depending on BEST'SenooLs Fon SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS.
‘their academic program. Co-op students alternate studies
‘and work semesters before returning for at least one final
semester of academic courses.
Our Co-op program is an optional component of the School
of Computing Science curriculum in the Faculty of Applied
Sciences at SFU. The Co-op program provides services on the
Burnaby (Computing Science) and Surrey (Software
Systems) campuses of SFU, including all graduate students,
and is accredited by the Canadian Association for Co-
operative Education.
Computing Science students interested in Co-op should
review the requirements of the Co-op program and also
attend a Co-op Info Session to get more insights about
experiential learning
Our Co-op program offers opportunities which enhance a

student's employability after graduation. We work with our
students to help them prepare their job search strategy and
‘materials, conduct professional interviews, and support the
exploration and development of their career goals. Our
students secure work terms across Canada and
internationally in places such as the Silicon Valley, Germany,
Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.
