Presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements in Technical Writing is a detailed proposal for
supplying the Philippine State College of Aeronautics a Mini-mart Vending Machine. This product is
aimed to sustain the needs of every students right within their distance in a convinient way. As we
provide snacks and bottled drinks within their area it will be more efficient to them and less time
consuming.

The proposal contains the product information in preparation for finalizing the development for the
vending machines.

Executive Summary

As we go on to our everyday lives, we are always noticing how things around us rapidly
changed into technology wherein it makes the life easier and faster and we are one of them.
Our company consists on vending machines that will sell snacks, bottled drinks, tetra-packed
drinks, and other necessities in an areas across Metro Manila. The locations are major in train
stations, LRT 1 that has 18 stations, LRT 2 that has 11 stations and MRT 3 that has 13 stations.
We also provide in every airport terminals majority are in Ninoy Aquino International
Airport(1,2,3) and various schools in Manila like De La Salle University, University of the
Philippines, University of Sto. Tomas, Adamson University as well as mall establishments
pertaining to SM malls and parks The Rizal Park.

The main target group for the MM Vending Co. machines are students, workers and
commuters that is always rushing to their offices, destination and schools everyday. To provide
their needs, we are distributing more vending machines all around Metro Manila. In that way,
they do not need to hunt for a convinience stores within their area and walk miles away to get
there.

The promotional strategy for the new Mini-mart Vending Machines will focus on social
media advertising. The objective is to create awareness of the locations of vending machines.
An advertising agency will be hired to handle the promotion through Facebook and Twitter. The
vending machine products will come from the warehouse; will be delivered by MM Vending Co.
staffs to the locations of the vending machines and it will be replenished once or twice a week.
Staffs will be properly trained to refill the MM Vending machines. To deal with the maintenance
of the vending machines, MM Vending Co. will use the engineers from the company to fix and
maintain the machines. The supply chain are illustrated below:

We are aiming to reach the cities beyond Metro Manila to distribute more MM Vending
Machines nation wide.

MM Vending Company was established in 2013 and organized by two business woman.
They worked together on a plan that they are not sure if it will be a hit for consumers. In 2013,
the technology in our country, Philippines are constantly changing, it is upgraded from time to
time. The company planned that what if they worked the vending company on, it will help many
of the commuters, students, and workers to make their time less consumed.

The companys initial plan was to find vending machine manufacturer. The company
chose Fuji Electric Japan to be their manufacturer because it was the largest vending company
in Japan. Tha company leased a warehouse to store the machines that is bought from Fuji
Electric as well as the various products that will be put on to the vending machines. The
company also find food and drinks manufacturers as well as necessity products that can be
consistently supplied and put on to the vending machines that is replenished every week. They
also hired a personnels to manage the office works and staffs that will be responsibe for the
replenishments of the vending machines as well as the technicians that will fix the machines
whenever errors pops up.

The persons behind this huge investment was graduates from Philippine State College
of Aeronautics with a course of Batchelor of Science Major in Aviation Tourism. Though their
course was quiet far to their business today, they are glad they reached to the top. Proudly,
firmly saying They did it!

Maureen Galera, one of the owner of the company has other businesses not only MM
Vending Machines but also owns a milk tea shop stores.

Muni Marie Lising one of the owner of the company owns another company with her life
partner names Kim Logistics helping MM Vending Co. Ship goods from the store to refill MM
Vending Machines.

The company office was located at Eastwood City, Bagumbayan, Quezon City, Manila.
This location was chosen because it was the biggest city in Philippines and it will be more easy
to hire staffs within this area.

INTRODUCTION | Purpose

The main purpose of MM Vending Co. Is to have people a convenient way to get their
goods. Not all stores and markets are open for 24 hours as we all know, and in private
convenient stores that are opened for 24 hours offers high pricing goods. Our aim is to let
people have the goods that they needed even in the middle of the dark night wherein all stores
are closed and all people are asleep. MM Vending Machines will be available for 24 hours since
it is electronic as long as there is a source of power our product will be working. Loss of
electricities are not a problem, our Vending Machines have automatic emergency power
generator inside that can last for 1-2 days. The secondary purpose is to make tihngs easier for
people, unlike inside groceries stores where you need to walk around to find what you need, in
our MM Vending Machines all you need is just one click away. It doesnt need to get punched
on a POS as a price is already set the machine automatically deducts the cost to the bill that
you are going to put and gives you change instantly. No Long Lines! Our MM Vending
Machines offers high speed service every single purchase that only take a maximum of 5 goods
per minute. 20% of the income from these Vending Machines will come into charity. 10% is for
feeding those people who cannot afford healthy and delicious foods and the oher 10% will be
given as an educational assistance to our capable intelligent students who cannot afford
education.

Problems
The problem within this project is just monetary for purchasing the specially
made vending machines. We need a fund raising or sponsors to gather money for this project to
be implemented. Another problem for this project is where to get the goods? We should have
products providers for our Mini Mart to be completed. We need to collect various of partners in
different areas such as beverages, snacks, instant foods, necessities, and other common needs
of people. It is also a problem to know where are the good locations to set up the vending
machines, so many people may be able to see it and use it. It should not be far from the
households for our slogan Convenience around you to be fulfilled as well as for our vending
machines to have lots of costumers and earn lots of income. Our daily goal should be not below
the half of the daily goods investment on each vending machines.

Discussion | Solution

To solve the problems we have seen in our product, we have proposed these foloowing
solutions:

1. We will sponsor these project with our company on our initial launching of this
project. So that if it will hit the marketing stocks in the school. We will be able to find
other sponsors easier to distribute more vending machines outside school premises. We
will send out a news that we are in need of sponspors and business partners for this
vending machine projects.
2. Advertising, The company hired an advertising agency to spread brochures containing
the good qualities of our vending machines and advantages to the people.They will
create a page on Facebook to advertise this project and attract Facebook user students
to consume our products consistently.They will allso create a webpage to advertise our
company more. This webpage will accept complains and respond to it as immediate as
possible
3. We will coordinate with big companies. We will have a good talk with companies such
as Coca Cola Company that will provide softrdrinks and bottle juices, Nestle that will
supply dairy products, Jack n Jill that will send snacks, Monde for cupcakes and biscuits,
Uniliver for necessities. The company chose them to supply the MM Vending Manchines
for a good quality goods at an affordable price.
4. Looking for locations that are safe for the costumers and the machines. We all
know that here in Manila most places are quite dangerous and crimes are common in
dark or isolated areas. We will set up the MM Vending Machines on areas with enough
lighting and security is not at sake as many people are passing by.

June 7, 2016 Purchasing special Vending Machines

June 9-11, 2016 Distributing MM Vending Machines on their


destined locations

June 18-21, 2016 Supplying goods to the Vending Machines from


factories of Company Parthers.

July 1, 2016 Grand Launching of MM Vending Machines on


our first target area.

The schedule starts from purchasing the Vending Machines ordered ans as soon as it
arrives Kim Shipping will immediatey move the machines to the designated areas for few days
including the rest of the staffs and workers. The supplying of goods from the factory might take
long time and many days to transfer to the locations of the vending machines. The Grand
Launching will be associated with big celebrities and huge business tycoons known by the
owners as well as relatives and few press media people to broadcast the Grand Launching of
the future of life conveniency.
