A very good morning to

First of all, I would like to thank the school for giving me an opportunity to be here. If youre
wondering what Im doing here, I am going to talk about a teacher that many of us know well, a
teacher who was and still is so dedicated to teaching but sadly must leave us, Pn Ng Siew Kim.

Pn. Ng Siew Kim was born on the 4th of March. She was given birth in the town of Muar. Her
fathers occupation was a farmer while her mother was just a housewife. She went to SJK(C) Hua E.
She then went to SMK Tengku Mahkota Parit Raja, Muar until her form 3 and continued her
schooling session in SMK (P) Abu Bakar Muar.She then furthered up her studies. She did her degree
in bachelors of economics in University Kebangsaan Malaysia in the year 1984 and her diploma in
the year 1986.She has a husband who is a retired manager in a bank. She has three sons. 2 of them
are accountants and the other is studying for medicine.

Pn Ng Siew Kim has been teaching since 1986 until now that makes it 31 years. She started he
voyage on her career in SMK Georgetown Pulau Pinang and then went to SMK Semerah and finally
ending her career here under the shades of SMK Tinggi Batu Pahat. She has been our school since
2001 till present date.

Upon retirement she has made a few comments for our school. Its a nice school she said but
theres room for improvement. The main problem that she faced is the discipline of the students.
She stated that the school isnt strict enough towards the students. Students nowadays are freer
than the ones before. Students also lose their respect towards their elders. She has suggested that
this problem can be either caused by culture or just ignorance. She also added that the school needs
to improve its facilities. The facilities in our school are outdated and should be improved. She also
stated that vandalism is happening. She also asked for the parents of the students to be active to all
the school activities. Parents should be more than just contributing money. 1 more problem is that
students nowadays accept knowledge from the outside. Students nowadays are going for tuition and
the centres are more advanced than the school. With this input from outside the students no more
pay attention in the classroom. They lack of focus and this situation makes the student think that the
class is boring. So let us all, as a retirement gift change our ways and work towards a better and
brighter future.

Pn Ng has a life motto which is nothing is free and this motto is a one of the secrets for such a
hardworking career. She has been such a caring, hardworking and honest teacher. She has been
undeniably committed to High School in whatever aspect such as studies, sports and other activities.
She has been a great assist to the development of the school since the very beginning.

On behalf of the entire school, I would like to say that we are very sorry on whatever we have done
that could have hurt you in any way. We would be missing you very much but thats life. We hope to
see you again in the future. We will try our best to improve ourselves so we can be much better than
we are now. You will always be in our hearts now and forever. Goodbye Pn ng and thank you for
