Gandhis sisters, there has been an agreement of the French to pay a hefty
bribe for favouring the purchase of French aircrafts.

blamed DRDO for their ineffficiency, but nobody speaks about high level of corruption

Controversial arms agent Abhishek Verma's
name has once again surfaced for allegedly
bribing Home Ministry and Defence Ministry
officials in securing a defence deal in
favour of US small arms manufacturer Sig
Sauer.

NDTV has accessed extensive correspondence

between Abhishek Verma's wife Anca Neacsu
and Sig Sauer officials, which show the US
company was using Mr Verma and his
associates for gaining entry into the
Defence Ministry and Home Ministry.

Eyeing a $1 billion contract to replace

Indian Army's Insas Assault rifles, Sig
Sauer conspired with Mr Verma using his two
front companies - Ganton USA and Ganton
India. Documents show Sig Sauer agreed to
pay 10 per cent commission to Mr Verma
The documents, which include bank
transactions, show that payments of $50,000
and $125,000 were made to procure two
tenders. The documents have also named
several top officials which influenced the
deal, including officials of Joint
Secretary level in the Home Ministry.

The documents are being investigated by the

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)
including videos taken in the Home Ministry
and Defence Ministry.

Abhishek Verma is currently in Tihar jail

on charges of illegal arms dealings. He was
arrested in December 2012.

information from the Swiss Banks can not be declared as it has to be kept to secret as
per the Treaty with the Government of Switzerland on Double taxation.

I decided to have a look at the Treaty between India and Swiss Confederation.

Hunt for Arms Dealer Sanjay Bhandari intensifies as he remains untraced

New Delhi: A city court has issued a Non Bailable Warrant

against absconding arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, who has
mysteriously gone missing in the last fortnight, sources
have told TOI. Two of Bhandaris key associates along with
five others have been questioned at length by the crime
branch of Delhi Police.
Meanwhile, as. agencies turnup the heat on Bhandari, his
close associate Ashok Shankar who is also named
as an co-accused in the FIR, has joined l investigation.
However; he is learnt to have provided no leads to the po
lice. The cops will confront him with Bhandari upon his
arrest. The close associates (names withheld) were asked
about their relations with Bhandari and their last contact
with the middleman. One of Bhandaris close relative was
also grilled along with
his home and office staff. The developments indicate that
the noose around the controversial middleman was
tightening. As per a source, the cops have intensified their
hunt for, Bhandari after an external agency did not find
any details of his ar-
rival in London in the time period his suspected to have
landed there. There were reports that he may haveiled to
the UK via Nepal.

However, his presence in Nepal or any other foreign

country has not been ruled out yet.
In October Delhi Police had registered an FIR against
Bhandari and his aide Ashok Shankar under sections 3
and 5 of the Official Secrets Act after confidential
documents related to the defence ministry were allegedly
recovered from his house in Defence Colony The duo were
 also being probed by enforcement directorate and I-T
department in connection with alleged
tax evasion. The recovered documents were photocopies of
weapon procurement plans. One of the papers pertained to
the purchase of six mid-air refueling aircraft for the Indian
Air Force, which was placed before the Defence Acquisition
Council (DAC).
Bhandari was served multiple notices to join probe.
However he evaded the notices and soon went underground
fearing arrest.

Indian Government deliberately purchases Fighter jets that have obsolete technology,
when we could have gone for US manufactured F-22 and F-35. They have what is
called a blended-wing body design, the F-35 is like an F-16 but with much more
powerful engine of 43'000lbs thrust, one of the most powerful engines in the world.
The F-35 can perform a much higher angle of attack than the F-16, and even slow
speed maneuvering characteristics of these plane are more than sufficient in
maneuvering fights. IRST cannot just detect any fighter like that, it is about how much
IR signature the fighter gives, and here both the F-35 and F-22 have been designed to
reduce their IR signature. These planes cannot be seen by other Fighter Jets until they
are well within visual range.

History of the Rafale Deal

IAF (Indian Air Force) is in dire need of around 200 so called MMRCA (Medium Multi-
Role Combat Aircraft) since 2001. UPA approved the demand in 2007 and initiated
the bidding. Many companies responded & finally Dassault won the bidding in 2012
to provide 126 Rafales at US$ 10.2 Billion, 18 jets to be provided ready-to-fly and rest
108 to be Made in India by HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) via technology
transfer. The deal also had other goodies, like Dassault was supposed to invest 50%
revenue from this deal into India itself.

What I dont agree..!!

Though, I personally believe that the original deal was only 36, even when UPA
Government was in power.
Narendra Modi Government simply went ahead with the deal that was originally
negotiated by UPA Government.
Narendra Modi Government is just an extension of UPA Government, which was led
by Sonia Gandhi.
Behind closed doors, Both BJP and Congress party work like one team, while leading
coalitions against one another, during elections.

Though it is quite possible that Ambanis came into the picture after Narendra Modi
Government came to power.

Partnership and technology transfer to HAL in original contract was with a strategic
objective of developing indigenous capability in the long run. India cant keep on
purchasing super-costly air crafts from other nations forever. Technology transfer and
manufacturing of 108 jets in India by HAL was most important aspect of original deal,
which Modi has done away with.
A PM who wants to make India a super power doesnt do such scams and Insult India
world over. The deal, as it stands today, is a full blown scam to loot India and benefits
Mr Modis cronies.

Now Dassault, which was ready to provide 126 Rafales at US$ 10.2 Billion, 18 ready
to fly and 108 to be made in India by HAL asked additional money for weapons
systems and technology transfer stretching the deal from 10.2 Billion to 18-22 Billion
US$. Not only this, they refused to provide any guarantee for planes made by HAL. In
short, they broke every single clause, rider in the original contract.

Why?
Greed, of course! When Dassault entered the bid, it had no leverage and much to lose
if it didnt get the bid. Dassault was desperate, its reputation of being non-
transparent in its business (rated worst F Band by transparency international)
wasnt helping it much and Dassaults CEO himself was mired in charges of financial
irregularities. But Dassault-Ambani partnership changed everything. Now, Ambani
who owned most of BJP Con politicians, thus owned the government itself, was
Dassaults partner. (BJP-Congress are not two different parties. Think, how many
corrupt people of each other did they send behind the bar?). So Dassault-Ambani
started arm twisting Indian government to get the most out of the deal. Read about

Of course, youll find whole teams of propagandists on Twitter, FaceBook, Quora,

entire internet in fact, feeding you false theories and rumours about how this is a
golden deal for India, but fact remains, this is a Bull-Shit deal and a big scam to empty
Indias coffers into Dassault-Ambanis pockets. Just this week, Anil Ambani got the
contract to manufacture spare-parts for yet to be made Rafales. There goes the offset
into Ambanis Pocket.

companies which will make spares for Rafales. this part was in the original deal as
well, but instead of just spares, 108 jets were to be made in India through technology
transfer!), which will generate limitless jobs and business. Fact is, It has been Indias
policy since 2005 that 30% offset will be part of every defence deal bigger than 300
crores. In this specific deal, the offset was already 50%. Modi hasnt changed this 50%
to 100% or even 51%. Period. Thank MMS if you must for the 50% offset clause. Modi
has nothing to do with it. Modi is buying Rafales at 3 times the original cost (original
81 Mn US$ vs current 243 Mn US$ per plane). So even after 50% offset (read
Ambanis Profit), were getting the planes 1.5 times (50%) costlier. And the 50%
offset is not pure discount. So even 50% offset clause has been offsetted against India.
Further, wont the offset generate 3 times more jobs and business if spares were to be
made for 126 jets of original deal instead of just 36? Dont do the Drugs, Bhakts. Do
the Math.

36) jets. But Dassault gave same guarantee in original deal too, for 13 (70% of 18)

getting in Modis deal is not even 1/3rd (Considering the deal in US$) or 1/4th

In other words government spends more than it earns as revenues.
Central Government employees get yearly raise, usually a very good amount
and then there is wasteful expenditure example the bullet trains introduced
by Narendra Modi Government in Gujarat.

Only very rich people can afford it, but they will prefer a flight since it would
be more convenient. So Bullet trains will run in losses and Indians will pay
