2. Whats the paycheck? Median wage of an accountant is 68,150.
3. What education does he/she have? Ashley has a bachelor of business administration
and master of business administration.
4. What school did he/she go to? Henderson State University
5. Why did they choose their profession? She has always loved numbers and she also was
recommended accounting from her college adviser.
6. Whats the one thing students would be surprised to learn about their field? She says
that accounting is a wide field that does not just focus on taxes.
7. What advice do they have for students? Her advice is to work as hard as you can to
understand everything about accounting and job shadow so that you can discover
different aspects of this job.

3. What education does he/she have? Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering/double
minor in mathematics and African American studies.
4. What school did he/she go to? He did his studies at the University of Arkansas
5. Why did they choose their profession? His 8th grade algebra teacher spent time with him
due to his high grade and potential so she recommended engineering.
6. Whats the one thing students would be surprised to learn about their field? Engineering
is not a limited field and does not just show as a job it resembles a well rounded person.
7. What advice do they have for students? Only pursue Engineering if you have a passion
for math and science dont do it for just for the money.

Young Profession 3 name: Michael Pharis

1. Occupation title: Physical Therapist
2. Whats the paycheck? 85,400 in may of 2016
3. What education does he/she have? Bachelor of Science and clinical Doctorate in
Physical Therapy.
4. What school did he/she go to? University of central Arkansas.
5. Why did they choose their profession? He wanted to be able to create relationships with
his patients and he also wanted to get creative with his treatments.
6. Whats the one thing students would be surprised to learn about their field? Its much
more than just doing arm curls or leg exercises, and its not just a massage.
7. What advice do they have for students? His advice is to watch the job being done before
you apply and if you love building relationships then it is a great job for you.

Of all the jobs in demand above which was your favorite? Why?
My favorite job was Physical Therapy mainly because it sounds like a job that would not get old
and that I would look forward to and not dread.
Which job sounds the most interesting to you? Why
Accounting because it seems like it has a wide branch when it comes to what you can do in that field.
