2 Please comply with the requirements specified in the attached Schedule. If you are unable to
comply with all the requirements by 07/07/2015, you may apply for an extension of time. Any application
for extension of time is to reach this Division at least 5 days before this expiry date.

3 Please note that if you are unable to comply with all the requirements by the date specified or such
other period as may be extended, the structural plans shall, by virtue of Section 5(4) of the Building
Control Act (Cap 29), be DEEMED TO HAVE BEEN DISAPPROVED.

i) Reinforced Concrete
(a) Dimensional check of all footings, pilecaps, beams and columns
-Please follow Direction: all footings, beams, columns need to be
checked for the size.

(b) Verification of steel reinforcement through ferro-sensing or visual

confirmation.
-Verify the reinforcement through visual confirmation (Destructive
Test) : 2 samples

(c) Confirmation of concrete strength through examination and crushing of

cores, ultrasonic pulse velocity, rebound hammer, etc.
-Confirmation of concrete strength through destructive test : 2 test on
7 days and 2 test on 28 days

(d) Confirmation of strength of steel reinforcements through laboratory

tests on extracted samples
-Confirmation of strength of steel reinforcement through laboratory
test: 2 samples.

ii) Steel
(a) Dimensions of all steel sections used as beams and columns,
-Please follow Direction: all footings, beams, columns need to be
checked for the size.

(b) Determination of steel grades by physical tests

-To test by laboratory (Cast laboratory)

(c) Bolt and welded connections by appropriate tests, e.g. magnetic-

particle inspection, ultrasonics, etc.
-Welded connection to be tested by magnetic particle inspection : 5
