ARTICLE I
Identification
This by-laws shall be referred as the CENTER FOR UCCs BEST ENTERTAINERS
BY-LAWS
ARTICLE II
Purposes
SECTION II- Purposes. The purposes for which the organization is formed as follows.
A. To organize and prepare some performances such as modern and culture diversity related
performances;
B. To promote performing arts in the Community;
C. To introduce cultural arts and shows to the Public;
D. To promote the learning about performing arts through different courses of all students;
E. To perform all other acts to the above stated purposes which are authorized and permitted
under the Act;
F. To support and assist the University instructors and students of University of Caloocan
City in extra-curricular projects and other activities;
G. To promote students, professors and staffs interest and support for the activities of the
University of Caloocan City.

Officers
SECTION I- List of Elected Officers: The officers of the group shall be a President, Vice-
President/Treasurer, Secretary and Auditor. To be eligible each members must have at least 1
year in contract to the group.
SECTION II- Election and Term of Office: Officers must be elected at the general meeting.
The term of office shall be for a period of one (1) year and it is suggested that no officer shall
serve more than two (2) consecutive terms in the same capacity.
SECTION III- Nomination: The Nominating Committee shall secure a nominee for each of
the offices to be filled. The report of the Nominating Committee shall be submitted to the
membership at the general meeting. Nominations may be made from the floor following the
report of the Nominating Committee. A name may be placed in nomination only with the prior
consent of the nominee. The nominating Committee is headed by Cultural Chairperson, Director,
Assistant Director, Production Manager and Stage Manager.
SECTION IV- Executive Board: The above elected officers (see letter A), Cultural affairs
Chairperson , Production Manager, Stage Manager, Assistant Director and Performing Arts
Director shall manage the Executive Board.
ARTICLE IV
Duties of Officers
SECTION I- The President shall preside at all meetings of the Center for UCCs Best
Entertainers, shall prepare and posts agendas for monthly meetings, and shall be ex-officio of all
committee. The president shall perform all duties usually in pertaining to the office.

SECTION III- The Secretary shall record the proceeding of all meetings. He shall make
available minutes of executive board meetings to all members of the organization and shall be an
ex-officio member of the By-Laws.
ARTICLE V
Members
SECTION I- Qualification for membership: Not all the students will wish to pursue a career
in performing only the students that need to be provided with every opportunity to achieve their
personal best. Any aspiring students of University of Caloocan City who wants to support the
purposes, goals, objectives and productions of the center for UCCs Best Entertainers shall be
pass the auditions and willing to commit 100%
SECTION II- Auditions for new members: all students are not required to join on this
organization but the students who want to enhance their skills about performing can join in the
organization. The will know the date of audition once the officers posted the information in
different university campuses.

B. Screening: Each student who passed the audition must be screened by our Production
team such as the Director, Assistant Director, Production Manager and Stage Manager.
C. Qualities: The standard qualities of each member can sing, dance, act and willing to
learn more about performing arts. All students are welcome to the organization but they
must give their 100% commitment to the organization.
D. Audition: The postings and announcements regarding the audition shall be held 2 weeks
prior to the exact date of audition. Once the students are informed about the audition they
must prepare their audition piece such as music materials and script. Officers and one
from the production team is will be the panelist to the said audition days.
E. Call back: The students who passed will be called back for second screening which will
be scheduled 1 week after the success of the 1st Audition screening. They are going to
perform again their audition piece to the panelist which is the production team. Another
list will be released after the panelists have completed their decision.
F. Official Member: The students who passed all the steps in the audition are the official
member and they must maintain an attendance rate of 85% for trainings, rehearsals,
workshops and performance events for which they have committed.
ARTICLE VI
Production
SECTION I- Project: The Center for UCCs Best Entertainers is entitled to conduct an
annual production every month of August, in celebration of Buwan ng Wika, and month
of February for the founding celebration of Caloocan City. A project proposal shall be

SECTION II- Audition for casting: After the approval of the proposal and a final
script was produced the audition for casting shall immediately follow. It may be
scheduled a week after the proposal was approved.
SECTION III-Workshops: Each official member must have full attendance of trainings
and workshops to enhance their singing, acting and dancing, and learn the basic and
advance skills about the performing arts.

SECTION II- Punctuality: Each member need to attend the workshops and rehearsals
on time or before the call time. The said activities will start at 7:00 am until 8:00 pm. The
members who have classes during the workshops and rehearsals can attend after their
class. Attendance and punctuality will be recorded and students with poor punctuality and
attendance will be taken through the Production team procedure and will giving a
maximum of three written warnings before being suspended or terminated to the
organization.
SECTION III- Proper Uniforms: Each member must wear the proper uniforms during
the workshops and rehearsals, T-shirt, jogging pants and rubber shoes for the boys. And
T-shirt, Jogging pants or leggings with short and rubber shoes for the girls each member
must always bring their IDs. The members who did not wear their proper uniforms are
not allowed to join on the said activities.
SECTION IV- Grade Requirements: All members must have no grade of 2.75, Inc.,
Remarks, Official and Unofficial Drop to avail the cultural scholarship
SECTION V- Coordination with School Authorities: The Center for UCCs Best
Entertainers must inform the Cultural Affairs Chairperson, Office of the Student Affairs
and the University President for the upcoming activities which include the requisitions
and project proposal
SECTION VI- Suspension and Termination of the members: Any members may be
suspended or terminated, for cause. Sufficient cause for suspension or termination of

members caused by violation of the By-Laws, not attending the workshops and
rehearsals, at least one (1) year of absence to the organization and misconduct to the
whole organization. Proceedings for suspension or termination of a member are instituted
by a petition of the Executive board.
ARTICLE VIII
Code of Conduct
SECTION I- Mission statement: The Center for UCCs Best Entertainers (CUBE) as a
university theatre group will provide leadership for the development of performing arts
inside the university of Caloocan City to be outstanding professional presenters and
facilitators. Advocate for the proper resourcing of performing arts and in particular for
presenters, facilitators and venues for all UNIVERSITY OF CALOOCAN students. Its
committed to providing safe, exciting and educational plays for each or our performers
and members in a disciplined but enjoyable environment.
SECTION II- Core Values: This code of conduct rests upon the assumption of a
number of core values which require that members behave with:
A. Integrity
B. Honesty
C. Loyalty to the interest of the membership
D. Fairness
E. Conscientiousness
F. Compassion
G. Commitment

SECTION IV- Area Restrictions: The Buena park Campus inside the University of the
East (UE) subdivision is the main venue of the rehearsals and workshops of the Center
for UCCs Best Entertainers. Members must follow the UE Subdivision and University of
Caloocan City policy in relation to other restricted areas and matters pertaining to health
and safety.
SECTION V- Members: Each member must perform from the heart and do their best to
keep a happy, friendly, fun and safe atmosphere. However, members also strongly
recognize that to become a performer, a certain amount of discipline is needed in and out
of the organization, and all the University of Caloocan City community are expected to
be polite and respectful to all. In order to provide a safe and a positive learning
environment for all students, the Center for UCCs Best Entertainers (CUBE) ask that all
members must follow the organizations Code of Conduct. It takes everyones effort to
create a positive performing experience.

h. Members should arrive to the rehearsals and workshops with positive attitude, and
ready to perform.
ARTICLE IX
Performance Appraisal
SECTION I- Annual Assessment: All members will undergo annual assessment, based
on their Performances, Attitude and Practice inside the organization. All members are
entitled one (1) year contract with the group given that they will abide by the CUBE By-
Laws and will not violate any policy of the org. and the university otherwise sanctions
may be applied.

ARTICLE X
Amendments of By-Laws
This Center for Uccs Best Entertainers By-Laws may be amended by the officers and the
whole production team. Any additions or changes to the amendments in the constitution
require a two-third vote of membership for adoption and permanency of articles only.
However, all final decisions will be made by the Officers and the Production team. The
CUBE By-Laws should only require a simple majority vote for passage, addition and
permanency. The constitutions should be reviewed annually.
