WEST MIDLANDS CONFERENCE 2017

DATE: Wednesday 19th October 2017

TIME: 09.00 16.30

LOCATION: The Mac, Birmingham

Excellent fundraising for a better world

WELCOME
For this year's Conference, we are thinking about change, the opportunities it lends as well
as the challenges it brings.

We have asked our speakers to think about the political, economic, social and technological
changes we are all facing as charities, and specifically in the West Midlands.

Our aim is to deliver a Conference that offers something for fundraisers at any level and
across a range of disciplines. We have planned our schedule to provide sessions based on
whether the fundraising you do is at a local, regional, or national level.

Sessions will be looking at the following five themes, from a local, regional or national charity
perspective:

Fundraising from businesses

Legacy fundraising
Making the most of events
IT and social media
Diversifying your supporter base

As with all our conferences, there will be ample opportunities for you to meet and network
with fellow fundraisers from across the West Midlands. The Institute of Fundraising West
Midlands AGM will also be taking place on the day.
