How to Create The Concept Plan
Crucial Issues : limited land in meeting the current and future needs of Singapore people (water, environment, economic, people)
Vision : it laid the foundation for the future development of Singapore with the development of new towns, transport infrastructure, and
parks and recreational spaces across the island
Mission : The strategies to sustain a high quality living environment include:
a. Providing good affordable homes with a full range of amenities Singapore plans remain relevant to
b. Integrating greenery into the living environment address future challenges and meet
c. Providing greater mobility with enhanced transport connectivity needs. (10 years)
d. Sustaining a vibrant economy with good jobs
e. Ensuring room for growth and a good living environment in future
1 objectives : it laid the foundation for the future development of Singapore with the development of new towns, transport infrastructure,
st

and parks and recreational spaces across the island trough a 'Ring' Plan structure which visualized the development of a ring of new high-
density satellite towns around the central water catchment area, with each town separated by green spaces and a system of parks and
open spaces. Low-density and medium-density private housing would be built beside these towns and there would be provisions for
industrial estates.

Public consultation is an 2011 for 2030

important component of the
Concept Plan process.
Through various channels
such as surveys, focus
group discussions, and
public forums.

How to do implementation
The pace of development depends on various factors such as market demand, prevailing market
conditions, and development momentum of the sites immediate surroundings. To facilitate timely
development of new, selected large-scale areas, we also work with other government agencies to ensure
that basic infrastructure and utilities are provided.

Through the Government Land Sales (GLS), state

land is released for development.

Singapore Development Control group evaluates

and grants approval for development projects, to
ensure they are in line with our planning strategies
and guidelines.
