Administration Tab / Management

This screen allows you to manage specific functions for access and security.

Gateway Bridge Mode


Setup(WAN) If "Bridge Mode" option is selected, the device will reboot automatically
and operate in Bridge Mode. The routing functionality will be disabled.
Wifi and LAN ports 2,3,4 will also be disabled. Only LAN port 1 will
remain active. The management IP address will change to
192.168.100.1. Please record this address for future reference so that you
can switch back to "Router Mode" via the Administration page.The
device can also be reverted to "Router mode" by factory reset via rear
panel switch.

CAUTION: BRIDGE MODE MAY PREVENT MULTIPLE DEVICES


FROM ACCESSING THE INTERNET.

Router Mode
If "Router Mode" option is selected, the device will reboot automatically
and operate in Router Mode. The routing functionality will be enabled.
Wifi and LAN will also active. The management IP address will change
to 192.168.0.1.

Connection Mode
If your service provider supports DHCP or you are connecting through a
dynamic IP address, select DHCP (this option usually applies to cable
connections).

If you are connecting through a static IP address, select Static IP. Then
configure the following:

Internet IP Address
Enter the Gateway's IP address, as seen from the Internet.

Subnet Mask
Enter the Gateway's Subnet Mask, as seen from the Internet
(including your service provider).

Default Gateway
Enter the IP address of the service provider's server.

Primary DNS (Required) and Secondary DNS (Optional)


Enter the DNS (Domain Name System) server IP address(es)
provided by your service provider. At least one is required.

MTU Size
MTU is the Maximum Transmission Unit. It specifics the largest packet
size permitted for Internet transmission. The recommended size, entered
in the MTU Size field, is 1500. To have the device select the best MTU
for your Internet connection, keep the default setting, 0.

Gateway Change Current User Name to, Change Password to, and Re-Enter
Access New Password
You can change the Gateway User Name and Gateway Password. Enter
a new User Name and Password. Enter the Password again in the Re-
Enter New Password field to confirm.

Remote Remote Management


Access To allow remote access, select Enable. Otherwise, keep the default
setting, Disable. To remotely access the device, enter
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080 (the x's represent the device's Internet IP
address, and 8080 represents the specified port) in your web browser's
Address field.

Remote Management Port

Enter the port number that will be open to outside access. The default
setting is 8080. This port must be used when you establish a remote
connection.

UPnP Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) allows Windows to automatically


configure the device for various Internet applications, such as gaming
and videoconferencing.

UPnP

If you want to use UPnP, keep the default setting, Enable. Otherwise,
select Disable.

IGMP IGMP Proxy

Internet Group Membership Protocol (IGMP) is a system to improve


multicasting for wireless clients. This should be set to Enable if your
clients support it; otherwise, select Disable.

Click the Save Settings button to apply your changes or the Cancel Changes button to
cancel.
