Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile Dysfunction (Unsatisfied Erection,Loose Erection) can begin early in a

person's sex life or they may develop after an individual has previously
experienced enjoyable and satisfying sex. Such a problem may develop
gradually over time, or may occur suddenly as a total or partial inability to
participate in one or more stages of the sexual act. The causes of sexual
difficulties can be physical, psychological, Simple lack of Technique.

The success of a happy sex life in couples, depends on a desire to indulge into
an act that culminates into sexual arousal, penile erection and effective
foreplay, followed by the sexual intercourse for a considerably long /
satisfactory duration. All sequenced well, the act ultimately results into the
ejaculation coupled with orgasm that gives an individual a sense of physical as
well as emotional well being.

Erectile dysfunction are more common in the early adult years, with the
majority of people seeking care for such conditions during their late twenties
through thirties. Men may also notice that orgasms are less intense, the
volume of ejaculate is reduced and recovery time increases between first and
second erections.

Erections may take longer to develop and may not be as rigid or may require
more direct stimulation to be achieved. It can interfere with a man's self-image
as well as his and his partner's sexual life. Erectile dysfunction may also be a
sign of a physical or psychological problem that requires treatment.

Erection problems tend to become more common as young age, but they can
affect men at any age and at any time in their lives. Current survey report says
physical causes are more common in younger men.

It's not aging but health problems that cause most sexual dysfunctions, a
healthy human remain sexually active till 70's and beyond.

Sex is not only a dynamic process; it is also an intimate relational bond Sex
problem involves mind, body and intellect of the individual. it deals with both
psychology as well as physiology and techniques of Sexuality. Sexuality should
be studied at all levels - mind, body and intellect of the concerned individual.
Mind creates ideas, body tries to execute them and the intellect decides the
appropriateness of the aciton Thus sex is not just all in the mind.

Erectile dysfunction was once a taboo subject, but more men are seeking help.
Doctors are gaining a better understanding of what causes erectile dysfunction
and are finding new and better treatments.

Treatment

In person consultation is more preferred the doctor has to first identify

whether the problem is psychological, physical or simple lack of technique or
knowledge. As part of consultation the doctor Will enquire about the patient's
complete lifestyle, sex life, daily routine, food habits, relationship with spouse,
job profile, knowledge of sex etc and will effectively diagnose your condition
first, then accordingly the solution will be advised.
Note : In cases the patient is not able to come in person, phone or email
consultation is available.

Please read about the scientific and well documented research of the efficacy
of one such Herbal Preparation called as Ficus relegiosa Linn. In Herbal
Medicine (Ayurveda Unani) which has effectively cured Erectile Dysfunction in
Diabetics and as well as Non Diabetic Patient. This research work was
approved and published in INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF RESEARCH IN Herbal
Medicine (Ayurveda Unani).

Premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation (PE) occurs when a man experiences orgasm and expels
semen soon after sexual activity and with minimal penile stimulation. It has
also been called early ejaculation, rapid ejaculation, rapid climax, premature
climax, and (historically) ejaculatio praecox.

The problems of premature ejaculation, which could be because of physical,

physiological, psychogenic and organic cause may disturb the entire rhythm of
sexual life, hence, need to be addressed to, seriously.

Men, who experience premature ejaculation, frequently question their

masculinity and lose confidence in their sexual performance, which often leads
to feelings of lowered self-esteem. Furthermore both the partners suffer
negative feelings about the experience and continuation of such problem can
lead to serious relational conflicts and more sexual problems in marital life.
The problem can occur in all sexual situations, including masturbation, or
during sexual encounters with another person.

Premature ejaculation is the most frequently self-reported male sexual

dysfunction, occurring in about 50% to 60% in men of all ages. Many men who
experience premature ejaculation feel frustrated and even ashamed. It may
help you to know that this problem is common and often very treatable.

Ejaculation timing is not related with the length of intercourse duration. The
act of ejaculation stands with number of strokes and during Sexual intercourse
a healthy person can effortlessly go between 150 to 300 strokes (Depending
upon their general health conditions) after penile penetration in vagina.
The person who is suffering with PE can go up to 20 strokes and very long
standing and chronic condition person ejaculates before or immediately after
penetration of vagina.

Remember premature ejaculation is the first sign of an erection problem. Men

who develop erection problems may develop Premature ejaculation as a
compensatory mechanism (Physiologic responsiveness of cardiovascular
system)

A recent news study has found that 65% of man with erectile dysfuncation (ED)
are unable to have an orgasm and 58% have problems with ejaculation. While
severity of dysfunctional ejaculation and orgasm is correlated with ED severity,
these issues were still surprisingly common in men with very mild ED.

Male Infertility

Male infertility refers to a male's inability to cause pregnancy in a fertile

female. In humans it accounts for 40-50% of infertility. It affects approximately
20% of all men.Male infertility is commonly due to deficiencies in the semen,
and semen quality is used as a surrogate measure of male fecundity.

Defect in the sperm production process in the male's testes is the major cause
of male infertility and this problem is reported in about two thirds of infertile
men.

The consequences of infertility are manifold and in many cultures, inability to

conceive bears a stigma.

Infertility can have a big emotional impact on you and your partner and
continuous mental stress brings sexual dysfunction in men.

Depression, anxiety, and marriage problems may occur.

Male Infertility can be classified into two:

Oligospermia (Low Sperm Count)

In this condition there are fewer sperm cells in the ejaculate than
normal.Oligospermia is generally defined as less than 20 million spermatozoa
per one ml of ejaculate. Few decades ago according to WHO standards, normal
sperm count was considered to be 60 million / ml (This has been done just to
promote IVF Which unfortunately have very less success percentage and it's a
painful procedure) which has been changed today to 20 million / ml.

Low Sperm Motility: also called as Asthenospermia

As per World Health Organization (WHO) the Motility of the sperm is divided
into

Grade A (fast progressive) sperms swim fast forward in a straight line.

Grade B (slow progressive) - sperm swim forward, but in non-linear motion.

Grade C (non progressive)- sperms move their tails with no forward

movements.

Grade D (immotile)- sperms do not move at all. Grade C and Grade D sperms
are considered poor.

Grade A motility should be minimum 30 % or above and total motility which

means A + B, should be more than 50% for higher chances of conception.

Other reason for Male Infertility includes Blockage of sperm transport:

Blockages (often referred to as obstructions) in the tubes leading the sperm

away from the testes to the penis can cause a complete lack of sperm in the
ejaculated semen. These blockages are calcified sperm deposits, or healed and
calcified cysts from infections and this can be detected with Ultra Sound Scan
of the Testis. A Herbo Mineral Herbal Medicine (Unani Ayurveda) can
effectively clear the blockages within 3 months of treatment without
undergoing any surgeries.
Sperm antibodies:

In some men, sperm antibodies get developed in the sperm or in the blood
that reduce sperm movement and block egg binding thereby hindering
fertilisation. Herbo Mineral Medicine (Unani Ayurveda) can effectively treat
Sperm antibodies and enhance the chances of conception.

Generally the more the total number of sperm the better the fertility and
that's the reason we still believe that total sperm count should be 60
million/ml, and not 20 million/ml. Many times its seen that total sperm count
of 10 - 15 million with 15 to 20 % motility, fail to make conception and such
individuals are forced to undergo assisted reproductive techniques like IVF (In
Vitro Fertilisation) and ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection ) rather than
giving them any treatment because allopathic medicines tends to be
ineffective.

Globally and especially in India now, these techniques are becoming the first
line of treatment which is ethically and medically not acceptable. There is no
law or governing body to regulate ART treatments today in India and that's the
reason it has been miss used by all major hospitals. We strongly condemn this
and hope soon a medical bill for governing the ART treatments are passed in
India. When a man with low sperm count and with low motility, repeatedly
fails to induce conception, instead of analyzing the real cause for Infertility,
ART techniques are adopted and advised in large scale to even younger
couples by which they end up in paying huge hospital bills along with life
threatening side effects. This is the scenario of a man with low sperm count,
therefore what will be the scenario of a man with 0 sperm count and motility.
They are like hot selling cake for ART hospitals.

When the Male factor is prime reason for their Infertility and instead of
treating the MALE factor, when ART is used, the normal healthy female also
have to undergo unnecessary hormonal injections, to boost her egg production
which allopath call as Superovulation by inducing more than 20 to 30 eggs in
one cycle, and when such hormonal injections are given in normal females,
they unnecessarily and forcefully are used as experimental subjects and after
injecting such hormones the natural equilibrium of the body gets severely
hampered with serious and life threatening side effects like Ovarian
hyperstimulation syndrome. Here couples should understand that a normal
healthy female releases only one egg per her menstrual cycle and if ART
treatments are used they artificially generate more than 20 to 30 eggs,
therefore by logic one can think that when just one egg gets released per cycle
naturally, how can the body be induced to release 20 to 30 eggs ? And if that is
done artificially by giving dangerously high dose of hormones can our body
create such eggs with good quality? Which is suitably for conception? After
generating such huge amount of eggs, the healthiest and matured egg is taken
for the procedure. Sounds logical but impractical, Here one question arises,
when the natural equilibrium of the ovaries are disturbed and which is
artificially made to produce such huge quantity of eggs, will the ovary produces
mature and healthy egg for conception to take place? Even if the matured egg
is artificially induced will this egg match with the egg which a female produces
naturally? Here one theory states that the fertility drugs which stimulate egg
production can lead to poorer quality eggs, which nature would usually weed
out. By this we can rationalize the success rate of such ART treatment.

Article published in one of leading news paper:

What is the TREATMENT ?

We have special and scientific medication to improve the testicular,

seminal vesicle and epididymal functions without any side effects.
Medicines to treat infections and clotting disorders
Medicines that help the woman grow and release eggs from the ovaries.
An herbal supplement containing a variety of herbs known to help
promotes spermatogenesis by improving the testicular.
Increment in sperm count and the quality of semen.

Prevention

You can take these steps to decrease the likelihood of occurrences:

Limit or avoid the use of alcohol and other Intoxicant.
Stop smoking.
Exercise regularly.
Reduce stress.
Get enough sleep.
Deal with anxiety or depression.
See your doctor for regular checkups and medical screening tests.

HIJAMA

Hijama (Arabic: lit. "sucking") is the Arabic traditional medicine for wet
cupping, where blood is drawn by vacuum from a small skin incision for
therapeutic purposes. It is reported that the Islamic prophet Muhammad said,
"Indeed the best of remedies you have is hijama, and if there was something
excellent to be used as a remedy then it is hijama."

Hijama can be performed almost anywhere on the body, often at the site of an
ache or pain in order to ease or alleviate it. A more conservative approach
warns against over use of cupping and suggests only that six optimal points on
the body are all that is required to "clean" the entire cardiovascular system.
The location is first shaved, if necessary, to ensure a tight seal with the cup.
The mouth of a cup (metal, glass and plastic cups are generally used, although
traditionally horns were used) is placed on the skin at the site chosen for
hijama. Then a tight seal is created. The traditional method is to burn a small
piece of paper or cotton inside the vessel, so that the mouth of the cup clings
to the skin. Some practitioners now use a machine instead of the manual cups.
Some practitioners still strictly adhere to the Prophetic method with the use of
fire, both for sterility[citation needed] and the benefits or properties from the
element of fire itself that may be present. The cup is left to cling to the skin for
a few minutes, then it is lifted off and several very small incisions are made in
the skin. The cup is then put back as it was before until the flow of blood
subsides.[citation needed] Hijama is considered a form of energy medicine
because it has been claimed to unclog the meridians in the body, and is viewed
by some practitioners as a cure that can alleviate black magic and possession.

Nocturnal emissions or wet dreams

A nocturnal emission or wet dream is a spontaneous orgasm during sleep that

includes ejaculation for a male, or vaginal wetness or an orgasm (or both) for a
female. Nocturnal emissions are most common during adolescence and early
young adult years, but they may happen any time after puberty. It is possible
for men to wake up during a wet dream or simply to sleep through it, but for
women, some researchers have added the requirement that she should also
awaken during the orgasm and perceive that the orgasm happened before it
counts as a wet dream. Vaginal lubrication alone does not mean that the
female had an orgasm

It is associated with the fact that, males typically get an erection often during
sleep and the semen released owing to the direct result of the stimulation
caused by either erotic dreams, or memories of waking sexual activities but
many men claim to have had nocturnal emissions without accompanying erotic
dreams and another common theory is that wet dreams are the way the body
disposes of "built-up" semen,

The frequency of nocturnal emissions is highly variable. Some men have

experienced large numbers of nocturnal emissions as teenagers, while some
men have never experienced one in their lives

Usual rate of nocturnal emissions are twice during a period of 15-30 days are
considered physiological (normal) while that occurring twice a week or more
and associated with symptoms such as dizziness, weakness and insomnia etc.,
are considered pathologic (abnormal)

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT

Nature is the greatest doctor in itself and herbal medicines (Unani Ayurveda) is
a branch of complete Medical Science which gives cure to the diseases with
natural herbs. herbal medicines (Unani Ayurveda) system concerns more with
the symptoms and so physical tests are not necessary in all cases.

So, the herbal medicines (Unani Ayurveda) treatments needs to know the
symptom of a particular disorder and that is the reason why we do not need to
do any physical exams for starting our treatment. For us the symptoms are
enough to deal because it is the symptom of a disorder which leads us to the
root of the problem which helps us a lot in treatment.

Before a specific treatment option can be offered; your problem must be

properly analyzed. When it comes to sexual ailments, no two men with the
same symptoms have the same problem.

Every person has a unique temporal constitution for healthy body. Imbalance
in temperament leads to disease. Once established, a personalized treatment
can be offered such that you can commence treatment privately and
immediately.

Spermatorrhea

Spermatorrhea is a condition of excessive, involuntary ejaculation. It is a

recognized disorder in Traditional Chinese Medicine, in which certain patterns
of involuntary ejaculation reflect problems with kidney qi.

In herbal medicines (Unani Ayurveda), Ashwagandha and Bala are used to treat
this vata ailment.

In the 18th and 19th centuries, if a patient had ejaculations outside of marital
intercourse, or released more semen than is typical, then he was diagnosed
with a disease called spermatorrhea or "seminal weakness". A variety of drugs
and other treatments, including circumcision and castration, were advised as
treatment. Some alternative practitioners, especially herb healers, continue to
diagnose and advise treatments for cases of spermatorrhea.

In Western medicine during the nineteenth century, spermatorrhea was

regarded as a medical disorder with corrupting and devastating effects on the
mind and body. The cure for spermatorrhea was regarded as enforced chastity
and avoidance of masturbation, with circumcision sometimes being used as a
treatment.

According to Western medicine, ejaculation is a widely accepted practice and

some even see it as a normal part of daily life, and incapable of causing ill
effects, other than temporary tiredness and reduction of sexual desire in the
individual concerned. In contrast, Traditional Chinese Medicine counts the
production of semen as one of the biggest strains on jing (kidney essence).

PHYSICAL & PSYCHOLOGICAL spermatorrhea

Hormonal disorders lower (testosterone or androgen)

Abnormal sperm production or function (Most cases of male infertility
are due to sperm abnormalities)
Impaired shape and movement of sperm (structure (morphology) of the
sperm are abnormal or the movement (motility) is impaired)
Low sperm concentration (A normal sperm concentration is greater than
or equal to 20 million sperm per milliliter of semen)
No semen (The absence of ejaculate may occur in men)
Sexual issues (Difficulties with erection of the penis (erectile
dysfunction), premature ejaculation)
Constipation
Being underweight
Diminished confidence and self-esteem
Guilt
Emotional upsets

Sex Addiction
Sexual addiction, also known as sex addiction or hypersexuality, is compulsive
participation or engagement in sexual activity, despite negative consequences.
In clinical diagnostics, the addiction misnomer sexual dependence may also
refer to a conceptual model that is used to assess people who report being
unable to control their sexual urges, behaviors, or thoughts. Related models of
pathological sexual behavior include hypersexuality, erotomania,
nymphomania, satyriasis, Don Juanism (or Don Juanitaism), and paraphilia-
related disorders.

Clinicians, such as psychiatrists, sociologists, sexologists, and other specialists,

have variable opinions on the classification and clinical diagnosis of sexual
addictions, with many believing that "sexual addiction" does not exist as a
clinical entity.
Neuroscientists, pharmacologists, molecular biologists, and other researchers
in related fields have identified a single, undisputed transcriptional and
epigenetic model of drug and behavioral (including sexual) addiction
pathophysiology. Diagnostic models, which use the pharmacological model of
addiction (this model associates addiction with drug-related concepts,
particularly physical dependence, drug withdrawal, and drug tolerance), do not
currently include diagnostic criteria to identify sexual addictions in a clinical
setting. In the alternative reward-reinforcement model of addiction, which
uses neuropsychological concepts to characterize addictions, sexual addictions
are identifiable and well-characterized. In this model, addictive drugs are
characterized as those which are both reinforcing and rewarding (i.e., activates
neural pathways associated with reward perception). Addictive behaviors
(those which can induce a compulsive state) are similarly identified and
characterized by their rewarding and reinforcing properties.

Symptoms of a sex addict

Compulsive masturbation
Pornography
Compulsive heterosexual and homosexual relationships
Prostitution
Exhibitionism
Voyeurism
Indecent phone calls
Incest
Child molesting
Rape and violence

TREATMENT

Sex addiction is a behaviour disorder which can be dangerous for the sex
addict and the people surrounding him. So instead of trying to hide the
problem the person should consult the doctor in person at the earliest. The
doctor after doing a proper counselling will give an appropriate solution for the
problem.

Performance anxiety

Sex is supposed to be a pleasurable experience, but it's hard to feel sexy or

intimate with your partner when you have sexual performance anxiety. When
you're constantly wondering, "Am I doing this right?" "Is my partner enjoying
this?" or "Do I look fat?" you become too preoccupied to enjoy sex.
Constant worry over your appearance or ability in bed can make sex stressful
and nerve-wracking. It can even make you want to avoid having sex.
Sex is more than just a physical response. Arousal is tied into your emotions,
too. When your mind is too stressed out to focus on sex, your body can't get
excited either.

Causes of Sexual Performance Anxiety

Many different kinds of worries can lead to sexual performance anxiety,

including:
Fear that you won't perform well in bed and satisfy your partner sexually
Poor body image, including concern over your weight
Difficulties in your relationship
A man's worry that his penis won't 'measure up'
A man's concern about ejaculating prematurely or taking too long to
reach orgasm
A woman's anxiety about not being able to have an orgasm or enjoy the
sexual experience
These anxieties cause your body to launch a response called "fight or
flight." Stress hormones like epinephrine and norepinephrine are
released in a series of reactions that were actually designed to prepare
your body to run or confront a threat. Of course, your partner isn't a
threat, which is why this response is so counterproductive to intimacy.

Symptoms of Sexual Performance Anxiety

Your state of mind can have a big impact on your ability to get aroused. Even if
you're with someone who you find sexually appealing, worrying about whether
you'll be able to please your partner can make it impossible for you to do just
that.

In men, one of the effects of the stress hormones is to constrict blood vessels.
Less blood flowing into the penis makes it more difficult to have an erection.
Even men who normally don't have any trouble getting excited can become
unable to get an erection when they're overcome by sexual performance
anxiety.

TREATMENT

In person consultation is more preferred the doctor has to first identify

whether the problem is psychological, physical or simple lack of technique or
knowledge. As part of consultation the doctor Will inquire about the patient's
complete lifestyle, sex life, daily routine, food habits, relationship with spouse,
job profile, knowledge of sex etc and will effectively diagnose your condition
first, then accordingly the solution will be advised.
