Teaching and Learning Activities:

Building Our Dream School

Preparation:

1. Teacher asks students to bring different types of boxes, coloured paper,

glue and scissors.
2. Teacher prepares six signs and a mounting board for each group.

Procedures:

1. Teacher recalls the signs that they had learnt by showing them the cards.

2. Teacher divided the pupils into groups of 6.

3. Teacher calls the pupils to come in front of the class.

4. Teacher demonstrates to pupils by showing to pupils how to:

a) Wrap a box using coloured paper

b) Label the box that has been wrapped
c) Colour the sign that they have
d) Paste the signs to the model
e) Arrange all the boxes on the mounting board to design their dream
school

5. Pupils work in their groups. Teacher goes around and monitors pupils
work.

6. The pupils present their dream school model to the whole class.
