1.0 Introduction/ Background

Since the rise of numerous IT projects and thesis papers, some are left out and
discontinued when in fact, these projects carries a huge potential and further
improvement. This business case will further improve and provide the IT students to use
previous thesis projects and papers for major revisions and further improvement. A link or
a tab will be provided for the future IT students. The archived projects can be used as a
reference or can be further improved depending on the recommendations provided.

2.0 Business Objective

Increased student satisfaction, reflecting the importance of viewing past projects


proposed by the higher batch of students/alumni.
Provide a secure online infrastructure for students who want to view the past
project proposals.
Increase the skill levels and job satisfaction of the students.
3.0 Current Situation and Problem/Opportunity Statement

The compilation of projects of the IT department is unorganized and incomplete.


Projects uploaded are not up to date.
The compilation lacks management.
IT students are having a hard time finding a certain project.

4.0 Critical Assumption and Constraints

The group will ensure that project team members are available as needed to complete
project tasks and objectives. All project participants will follow the guidelines identified
within this plan. Also, the Project Plan may change as new information and issues are
revealed.

5.0 Analysis of Option and Recommendation

1. The possibility of expanding the thesis archive not only in the IT Department but
also in the IS and CS department
2. Previous reviewers and review materials should be made available to the IT
department
3. For the possibility of the expansion of the project, future students who seek to
improve the case can create an independent website dedicated entirely on the
archives of previous projects and review materials which will serve as a guide and
reference for future IT students.

6.0 Preliminary Project Requirements

1. Observation of current progress


2. Knowledge pertaining to different programming languages
3. Observation of newly finished thesis papers
4. Gathering soft copies of the papers
5. Front end or User Interface
6. A Website that will contain the previous projects and thesis papers
7. Review of all relevant documents.
7.0 Budget Estimate and Financial Analysis

The project will not require any expenses since the thesis archive will be made available
with no cost under the eLeap. This project doesnt need funding since it will not have any
expenses. Likewise in its profit. It doesnt require any financial statement as it will not
have any expenses for the entire usage of this project; furthermore, the project will only
occupy a certain section in the eLeap for it to be access quickly.

9.0 Potential Risks

IT students might copy the content of the projects which may lead to plagiarism.
IT students might rely more on the projects rather than relying on their original
ideas.
