2017. I will be using a few lines from this website definition on how philanthropy is

changing with the times. The part I will contribute to my speech will contribute to

describing how millennials are changing philanthropy. The criteria has changed from

only three different definitions of philanthropy to now five. The old were considered

time, talent, and treasure. The two new that were added his voice and network. Voice is

how you advocate to others. Network is using social media to spread a cause. This will be

a part of my speech that contains the history therefore going into my informative areas.

Although, it doesn't support my demonstrative speech area very much it will contribute to

the meaning. It will still be a strong part of my outline and speech.

"Charity is different from philanthropy. The purpose of charity is to ease immediate

suffering. It is usually a temporary solution to a social problem. Unlike philanthropy,

charity does not focus on ending

social problems.". This website is very informative about what the true meaning of philanthropy

is and also what the history of philanthropy is. I believe it will work well within my

outline and I will be able to display it well through my speech.
