CASTOR INSTITUTE OF MARINE & ENGINEERING EDUCATION PVT LTD H2S COURSE GUIDELINES Course Specifications Course Tit Hydrogen Sulfide (H:S) Developed By: cIMEE Goal: To ensure participants can recognize the hazardous characteristics of hydrogen sulfide (H:S) and correctly apply the standards and procedures to safely perform work in HS designated areas. HS Objectives: Participants will be able to: « Identify the characteristics of HLS. « List the hazards of HLS. ‘Describe the effects of various HS concentration levels on humans. + Be able to use the equipment and alarms which identify the specific levels of H2S concentrations, ‘* Describe the proper notification procedures for an HS emergency. ‘© Describe the appropriate rescue and emergency procedures for a person exposed to high levels of HS.
