Barriers to Belief - HEG.

This PDF compliments the Humility Enabled Grace - Salvation Doctrine PDF.
The damned cannot believe the truth because God sends them delusions (2Thes 2;11-
12). Damnation is the barrier to belief. Pride causes damnation, thus, pride is a barrier
to belief. God's grace is a merited favour and humility qualifies a person for God's
grace. Pride makes a person ineligible for God's grace (1Peter 5;5). All people have
sinned so all people have something to be humble about. Those who remain proud
despite having done wrong prove themselves to be evil and they remain damned.
When a person finds grace in God's eyes they are predestined to belief in Jesus. Their
belief is supernaturally changed and they believe the truth, they believe in Jesus.
Graph 1. One cannot reduce their delusions without reducing their pride. Pride makes
it impossible for a person to repent to Jesus. One cannot have both pride and truth.

One cannot escape

delusion unless they are
first humbled.

The proud cannot be

enlightened.

Graph 2. Some people are born into families where deep-sin is normalised whilst
others are born into Christian families. Different people have different upbringings.
God takes this into consideration when judging the person's conscience. We would
expect to see many people with a relatively low depth of sin, for example, people
raised Christian, remaining damned and unable to believe in Jesus whilst many who
are in deeper sin are being redeemed into God's grace.

Upbringing and depth of

sin does not influence
likelihood of coming to
genuine faith in Christ.

Only sufficient shame

after sin can bring
salvation.
Two Types of Christian Belief.
There are many denominations of Christianity. All Christians are one of two types:
1. Those who believe they must obey Jesus to keep God's grace, and
2. Those who do not believe they must repent of sin to keep God's grace.
It is written, There is no partiality with God (Romans 2;11). Those religious people
who have a skewed sense of justice (Evil men do not understand justice, Proverbs
28;5) are given delusions making them unable to believe the truth (Jesus, Type 1).
The picture below illustrates the two situations a person's conscience will lead them
into. All people have sinned against God whether it be intentionally or accidentally so
salvation cannot be of works, it must be of grace (forgiveness). Those who have no
shame after sin show themselves to be evil and God cannot justify saving them. Only
those with sufficient shame after sin can be given salvation, which comes with a
supernatural enlightenment from God causing the person to believe in Jesus.

The Bible teaches that true-Christian adult belief (TCAB) is granted to the humble so
we should be able to observe similar rates of TCAB among upbringings with the
scale of Christian influence of the community (% Christian homes) having an impact
only on rates of false-Christian adult belief and rates of atheist adult belief.
We would expect both upbringing and Christian influence of the community to have
little or no impact on rates of TCAB except as % Christian homes approaches zero.
Community with high Christian influence. 80% of homes Christian.
Upbringing Atheist Adult False-Christian Adult True-Christian Adult
Atheist 70% 20% 10%
False Christian 5% 85% 10%
True Christian 5% 85% 10%
Community with low Christian influence. 15% of homes Christian.
Atheist 86% 4% 10%
False Christian 50% 40% 10%
True Christian 50% 40% 10%
