1.0.PURPOSE.
This instruction describes the method of maintenance of Cargo Book on board EML vessels.
2.0.RESPONSIBILITY.
The Cargo Officer and Master are responsible for adherence to this instruction.
3.0.INSTRUCTIONS.
Each vessel under management of EML shall maintain a Cargo Book, which contains the following details.
3.1.The following details are entered on the front page.
EMARAT MARITIME LLC.
Vessel's name and Call sign
Port of Registry and Official number
Date of commencement of the Cargo book
Date of completion of the Cargo book.
3.2.Part I of the Cargo book shall contain:
Type of vessel
Date and place of building.
Type and power of main engine.
Length of overall.
Length between perpendiculars.
Length by water line
Breadth
Height from keel to main deck
Max. height of mast in ballast
Height from keel to tweendeck(s), deck(s)
Height of freeboard to each cargo mark
Max draft in laden condition ( Tf, Tm, Ta)
Max. draft in ballast condition. ( Tf, Tm, Ta)
TPC - full cargo
TPC - half cargo
TPC - in ballast
Allowance on fresh water for full cargo and in ballast.
Deadweight for general cargo and for timber cargo.

3. Full quantity of bunkers;
- IFO
- MDO (MGO)
- Fresh water
- Luboils
- Ballast water
4. Cargo gears ( Derricks, Cranes)
- Quantity

- Max. outreach

Size of cargo hatches
Length, height and breath of each compartment
Square of each compartment
Volume of each cargo compartment giving Grain capacity and Bale capacity.
6. Size and square of free surface of main deck
7. Size and square of free surface of hatch covers.

3.3.Part II - Shall give voyage description consisting of:

- quantity of cargo
- per cent of using of capacity of cargo compartments
19. Address and terms of sending of Notices.
20. Stability calculation on departure (from each port of this voyage)
21. Stability calculation on arrival (at each port of this voyage)
22. Draft on arrival/departure at each port of call
23. Draft limitation on port of destination
24. Cargo plan. (with height of deck cargo, if applicable)
25. Cargo lashing drawings (on deck, in holds)
26. Diagrams of stability
27. Calculation of damage stability
28. Evaluation of water-tightness.
29. Calculation of criteria of acceleration
30. Loading Details : Rate, working time, facilities, Tally, Lashing of cargo, dunnage, any delay,
customs of port, time of loading, draft etc.
31. Sea passage
- Weather condition, GM by heeling, sea passages time, any delay etc.
32. Discharging
- Rate, working time, facilities, Tally, any delay, customs of port, time of discharging, draft, any
claims during discharging, etc.

4.0.REFERENCES:
Stability verification during loading and discharging.
Loading and discharging operations.

5.0.RECORDS AND RETENTION PERIOD.


Cargo book : Ship's life span.
