PRINTED CIRCUIT SERIES,Range 50 & 100mV

These shunts are designed to be mounted on the cards as a

standard component. The set is plated for welding with wave
soldering.
The most common values range is from 1 to 17 A.
On request, other values can be studied.
Dimension C can reach 35 mm.
For this type of shunts, the most common voltage drop is 50
mV.

These shunts are designed to be mounted on the cards as a

standard component. These shunts are not tin and must be
welded with a soldering iron due to their mass.
For this type of shunts, the most common voltage drop is 100
mV.
The most common values range is from 10 to 60 A.
Dimension C can reach 60 mm

These shunts are cut from a strip of manganin thickness 0.5 or

1mm, depending on the template it can be calibrated to an accuracy
of 4, 1, or 0.5%.
The installation on the PCB is always the same regardless of the
size, only the C rating varies. It can reach 26 mm.
The maximum usable intensity is 60 A, because of the section of
the connection points.

VARIOUS MEASUREMENT SHUNTS

These shunts are mounted in a casing snap on DIN rails

symmetrical or asymmetrical.
They permit rapid incorporation into an array.
The most common range is from 1.5 to 60 A for a output
voltage 50 or 100 mV.

These shunts specifically designed for control and laboratory

can be performed with the following calibers:

From 1 to 100A Output voltage 100 mV

The most common classes of precision are 0.5 and 0.2%

SPECIFICATION SHEET

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

The shunts must be installed horizontally so that resistant blades are placed
vertically, and that air can flow therebetween via natural convection.

The rods clamping bolts must be blocked in order to minimize electrical contact
resistance at the connection areas.

OPERATING CONDITIONS

Under normal operating conditions and connection such as those used for calibration,
the normal temperature rise is about 120C.
After one hour of operation at full capacity, it's necessary to check that the
blades temperature does not exceed 150C in order to maintain better than 0.5%
electrical characteristics.
However shunts can work at a temperature of 300C without degradation of their
characteristics.
The color change of the blades occurs from 100C without degradation of electrical
characteristics.

It is necessary to check after a few hours of operation and several start-up

cycles, the proper tightning of bolts bars on the connection pads.

ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The shunt is a passive component, it's characteristics do not vary over time under
normal conditions of use.The aging of the resistant part does not remove the shunt
in his class.

However, in case of doubt, such as a major overload or holding in an aggressive

atmosphere, it is necessary to return it to the manufacturer to check it on a
calibration bench.
