Singapore Red Cross launches inaugural Project Home
A nation-wide youth volunteer movement and donation drive in aid of the less privileged
community in Singapore

Singapore Red Cross Society (SRC) invites the public to the launch of Project Home, a new project
targeted at the less privileged in Singapore.

Project Home is supported by the Ministry for Community Development, Youth & Sports and the guest
b) Minister (MCYS) Dr. of honour will be the Minister himself, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan. He will grace the event alongside SRC
Vivian Balakrishnan Chairman Mr Tua Tee Ba.
SRC celebrity ambassador Edmund Chen will also be present to lend a helping hand to the youth
volunteers as they spruce up the households.

Following the launch ceremony, volunteers will set off for 3 important links
the households to begin the clean-up and repainting.

An online portal has been set up since 8 May to bring the YouTube Community:
donation drive online and accessible to all Singaporeans http://www.youtube.co
To date, $150 000 has been collected from the ongoing donation drive, from both generous
Singaporeans and corporate partners.
Corporate partners like Nippon paint and Dettol have kindly pledged to provide cleaning and painting
materials for all the teams during the event.

SRC urges all Singaporeans to show their support for Project Home, whether in person, making a
donation or even through the social media platforms.
