Summary:
Wood is the oldest natural resource used by man. Historically it has provided fuel, tools
and protection. It is a natural polymer of organic origin. You get inside the trunk of the
trees. Wood depends on growth, age, moisture content, types of terrain and different parts
of the trunk. Wood is hygroscopic, absorbs or releases moisture depending on the
environment. The wood moisture content varies between wide limits. In freshly cut wood
between 50% and 60%, variations in humidity cause wood to swell. The actual density of
the wood is substantially equal for all species: 1.56. The bulk density varies from one
species to another, and even in the same, according to the moisture and tree area. Wood
expands when heated and contracts when the temperature decreases, but this effect is not
usually noticed because the temperature rise brings with it a decrease in humidity: As the
latter is greater, the other is invaluable. They are also larger movements in the direction
perpendicular to the fibers. Dry wood is a good electrical insulator, its resistivity decreases
rapidly when the humidity increases.
Cashimbo: Wood is homogeneous and has few internal tensions so your sawmill is
moderate, its mechanical strength allows media Get high productivity.
Copaiba: The copaiba wood, because of its resistance to moisture, is used paragraph
Making parquet and much appreciated in making canoes and construction work.
Mohena: It's kind of easy sawing, easy to work with tools and woodworking machines
Commons; despite having interlocked grain can be obtained smooth and good surface
finish using cutting angles of 25, 30 and 35 degrees brushing.
