ASSUMPTIONS: The students already have some knowledge about enviromental pollution

ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS: The students may have problems when they will try to express their point of view;
The students may find difficulty in speaking freely in English;
The students may be afraid of making mistakes when they speak in English;

The students will work in groups. The teacher puts an A4 copy Earth poem (A3)
of a poem about Earth on the table at the front of the classroom.
Each group sends a representative to the front of the class to read
only the first line of the poem, memorise it, and then run back to Reading/
their group and dictate the line. The activity goes on this way until Listening
one group has the whole poem. Then the students have to decide Writing

2. Read part two. Does your family reuse plastic bags. If you
do, where do you keep them?
3. Read part three. Can you recycle aluminium cans in your
neighbourhood? Look at the photo of the rubbish dump.
What else can be recycled?
The students are required to make a poster and write about some Reading
ways they can help save the planet by reducing, reusing and T-Ss; Ss-Ss; Ss-T Speaking

Feedback The teacher gives them a crossword. The students have to solve Plenary Crossword
