HOSPITAL MAVDI PLOT MAIN ROAD, RAJKOT
OUR MOTIVE:

• Shree Saurashtra Medical Charitable Trust has been established with sole motive of socio
medical services to reach the people who are in need of health and medical educational
services. Public health activities are also our prime agenda. For this purpose, leading super
specialists from medical fraternity of Rajkot along with leading businessperson joined hands
and formed the trust. Mostly our activities are concentrated towards creation of awareness
regarding healthcare among masses.

Our main area of work that has received acceptance from people is, “Health promotional,
health educational activities and community outreach programs.”

OUR ROLE:

• Our trustees are consultants and super specialists in their fields. We have been conducting
regularly diagnostic camps and awareness campaigns for better healthcare of people: especially
in the fields of Neurology, Urology and Cardiology; promoting the National Health Programs
like prevention of HIV/AIDS, contraceptive technology etc.
• Our activity for prevention of female feticide has been recognized all over the state. We have
also been instrumental in leading the people towards de-addiction from tobacco chewing. Many
people have got benefited out of these programs. We regularly conduct medical educational
programs/conferences/seminars for medical professionals and students
• With our objective of promoting and cooperating in all National Health Programs, we intend to
participate actively in programs leading to state of the art healthcare services of international
standard in state.
• We wish to create a work force that can fulfill the needs of present day healthcare sector. There
is a tremendous shortage of good, qualified manpower in our state/country. We wish to aim at
creation of institute, which can help the people achieve employment as well as dignified living
standard.

• All trustees are from the highest strata of society with a desire to do something good for the
society. Members of trust have been chosen carefully. None of these persons has any personal
interest or requirement that can contradict our aims and objectives. All decisions are taken
unanimously with strict maintenance of fiscal discipline. Transparency regarding maintenance
of accounts is very strictly maintained.
• We handle all the activities with the help of best available manpower in the healthcare industry.
As mentioned earlier, all trustees are considered to be the authorities in their respective fields.
They have gathered under this trust banner with sole motto of doing something unique and best
that has never been done before in the history of medical field of Gujarat.

Project in Brief:

Need
Every year, we find more than 4-5 lakh cases being admitted to various hospitals of Rajkot. This figure
does not include cases admitted to civil hospitals. More than 40% of all such admitted cases belong to
economy or non-affording class. With increasing stress and strain, life-style related diseases are also
spreading leaps and bounds.

We do not have sufficient infrastructure to deal with such massive problem in our city. There are no
major multi specialty and super specialty hospitals in Saurashtra which can deal with affordability of
the people efficiently and effectively.

Shri Saurashtra Medical Charitable Trust is interested in developing Multi Specialty and Super
Specialty Hospital and Medical Research Center in Rajkot that can cater healthcare services to the
people at an affordable rate on “no profit-no loss” basis.

Salient Features of the Project

• Modern 55 bedded set up of hospital with all basic specialties
• We are going to provide treatment to the patients at subsidized cost without any motive of
profit-making.
• There will be facilities in the hospital campus to cater the needs of the patients and their
relatives e.g. 24 hours open pharmacy, small but good and hygienic canteen etc
• One good operating room with latest facilities of class 10000 (HVAC) quality, one septic
operation theatre of class 100000 standard to perform all types of specialty and super
specialty surgeries, treatment of trauma cases, neurosurgeries, plastic and reconstructive
surgeries
• Stereo tactic surgery facility, microsurgery, and good, state of the art ICU facilities.
• Future plans: All related supportive specialties like dialysis unit, rheumatology clinic,
diabetic and neurology clinics, rehabilitation center, yoga center, meditation room,

center for alternative medicine, psychology and diet departments, shall be incorporated in
our future plans to fulfill our aim of Holistic Healthcare for our patients

The Project is planned by the trust at Mavdi main road, Rajkot in the existing hospital
complex of Shri Shivanand Mission Trust. Over a period of time the Project cost would come
to around Rs.13.5 crores and may require another Rs.150 lakhs for carrying out medical
research center activities.

Around 700 square yard with built up area of approximately 15000 square feet
ACCESS:

The place has access through the 150 feet ring road and national highway, Gondal Road, 4
kilometers from central bus station of Rajkot and easily accessible from all places in
Rajkot city and the surrounding places.

LOCATION & SURROUNDINGS:

The place is situated at a prominent location in the area called Mavdi plot. The said
premise is situated southwest to the Gondal road and is very easily accessible by all public
& private transport.

OWNERSHIP STATUS:
The said premise belongs to Shri Shivanand Mission Trust and the existing trustees here are already
running Ophthalmology institute.

SOURCE OF FUNDS:

Donation is planned from various sources and contacts of the trustees abroad i.e. friends, relatives of
the trustees in India and abroad plus foreign donors.

The team of doctors of Shree Saurashtra medical charitable trust Rajkot is consistently on
run for building the healthy society and to enhance the awareness of healthy habits among
the masses through diagnostic camps of every nature, pulse polio vaccination drive, tobacco
de-addiction program etc. this was achieved through generous financial assistance received
from elites of society. Long 20 years of experience and the present helplessness of the
society, it was felt to further the services of the trust and has ventured to provide the modern
medical services at affordable rates to the last non-affordable member of the society.
Shivanand Mission Trust which is pioneer in the field of Philanthropic activities for proffering
vision to lacs of people through free cataract operations has joined hands to achieve the
mission of Shree Saurashtra medical charitable trust, Rajkot. It has agreed to convert the
existing area of 15000 Sq. ft. of Shivanand Eye Hospital, Mavdi Plot Rajkot into multispecialty
state of the art hospital to provide the modern treatment at most affordable charges just to
sustain and maintain the stream of services.
We the joint trustees are circle without circumference for the cause of humanity and to extend
services for the needy fraternity of the society, sans caste, creed and culture. Your donations
expressing the empathy and righteousness of your inner self will go a long way in the
developing and restoring the healthy society. Your donation will not be charity but foundation
