Drawing Set

(Provide calculations and spreadsheets in project folder)

Elements

Structural:

Design loads
Stability system
Analysing main structural elements
Assess potential damage to existing underground services
Full detailed design for 3 different structural elements and their components (connections,
reinforcement) note: one of these must be a stability element
List all elements requiring detailed design
Provide engineering drawings (layout, 3 elements, connections, reinforcement)

Geotechnical:

Analyse geological and site investigation data (determine final soil parameters for design)
Design foundations for preferred layout of building
Design and detail foundations for the stability system including connections/interactions
Provide engineering drawings

Traffic: Provide detailed design for elements chosen from concept stage

Traffic impact study of facility

Public transport study
Provision for car parking including disabled access
Site access modelling, in particular intersections design
Detailed parking design (cars and bicycles)
Detailed pedestrian and bicycle access design
Detailed traffic management plans for construction
Consider critical construction issues

Environmental

Outline sustainability philosophy and aspects of your design

How particular features of project meet Monash requirements for sustainable development
Schematic drawing of all water features that would need to be designed
For each discipline, select one credit from the environmental rating tool chosen for the project
and indicate in detail how this credit can be achieved
Produce documentation for one of the green star credits or other rating tool credits for which
the environmental student has led responsibility
 Propose the baseline of various building services such as types of water, air, waste and energy.

checking

Meetings

Meetings with mentors: Monday 10am 12pm

Group Meetings: Monday 10am, Wednesday 12pm - 2pm
