NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES

GENERAL
These procedures are established to reduce noise exposure levels and mitigate its
effects in the neighboring populated areas of Jorge Chavez International Airport,
Lima-Callao, Peru.
DEPARTURE PROCEDURES
Stage 3 Aircraft
Between 1200 and 0300 UTC- Stage 3 aircraft departing to the north will
preferably takeoff from Rwy 33.
Between 0300 and 1200 UTC- Aircraft will takeoff from Rwy 33, except when
the tailwind component for a Rwy 33 takeoff is higher than 10 kts and when
takeoffs from Rwy 15 are necessary. Operators will follow the necessary
measures to comply strictly with this restriction (itinerary modifications,
maximum takeoff weight adjustments, etc.).
Runway 15 Departure Procedure
This noise abatement procedure is based upon NADP1 located in ICAO DOC 8168.
The procedure must be adhered to by the flightcrew during both day and night
takeoffs from Rwy 15 while maintaining the routing according to the SID
authorized by ATC.

Accelerate at Vzf.
Retract flaps/slats in accordance with procedure.
Normal climb.

3000 ft

Climb at V2 + 10 to 20 kt.
Maintain reduced power.
Maintain flaps/slats in the takeoff configuration.

1000 ft Initiate power reduction at or above 1000 ft.

Take-off thrust V2 + 10 to 20kt.

In the event of an emergency situation, this procedure is not applicable.


This noise abatement procedure indicates power reduction at a prescribed
minimum altitude and to delay the retraction of flaps and slats until arriving at
the maximum prescribed altitude.
At the maximum prescribed altitude, accelerate and retract the flaps and slats
according to the procedure maintaining positive ascent speed and completing
the transition to normal enroute ascent procedures.

CAUTIONS
There are no Special Engine Out Procedures, however,
when departing Runway 15, DO NOT delay the turn
toward the ocean beyond D6.0 LIM due to obstacles.

Prohibited area SP (P)-29 is 9 miles west-southwest of LIMA


VOR.
DO NOT take pictures of Air Force Base (north end) or Navy
Base (south end of field).
Security restrictions prevent pedestrian traffic across ramp area.
See agent for access to Operations.
If the arriving crew is not familiar with the designated parking
spot, a Follow-Me truck is available upon request.
Passengers will be bussed only if aircraft is assigned to a
remote parking spot.
Gate 19 or 15 is normally assigned.
A crew initiated phone patch to Dispatch is now available within
130 NM of LIM. Pressing LIM*XX on the microphone will dial the
Dispatch desk. LIM is 546 on the phone and XX is the Dispatch
desk being called. (i.e., dial 546*21 to call desk 21 from Lima).

DEPARTURE
Special Procedures
Call Lima Clearance 20 minutes prior to departure for ATC clearance.
Call Ground prior to pushback/starting engines and again when
ready for taxi.
Runway 33 is preferred at night for noise abatement (see page 10-4).
Runway 15 is available only if tailwind component for Runway 33
exceeds 10 knots.
