Dear Promotion Committee Members:

I would like to formally apply for the Senior Lecturer position in the Education department at Sharjah
Womens Campus. I have been faculty in the Education department at Sharjah for the past six years and
am currently in my seventh year. I have had extensive industry experience both with educational
leadership and teacher training programs, which enhance my work here at the college.

I have engaged in roles and responsibilities beyond my regular duties as a faculty member and have
developed exceptional teaching and leadership skills. This has included being put forward for and
assuming the role of Academic Coordinator for the Primary Language Arts (EPR) courses across the HCT
system. This has involved leading several faculty teams in course development, revising and improving
existing courses across the system and attending monthly DAC meetings to present monthly progress
reports. I have also contributed to the development of the new Primary Math and Science Education
Programs due to start academic year 2018-2019.

I have demonstrated excellent collaborative work with the community. Teaching across both the Early
Years and Primary education programs I have forged many new community links regarding practicum
placements for our increasing student numbers, in addition to hosting community related events with
these partners which further strengthens relationships. I regularly provide professional development to
the teachers in the Early Childhood Unit based on the Sharjah campus and have also been involved in
assessing these teachers for their CACHE qualification at the request of the manager Ola Feidi.

I have also demonstrated my ability to work collaboratively with key government educational
organizations such as the MOE, in reviewing the early childhood curriculum. I am also a committee
member for Sheikh Qassimis initiative regarding early years nurseries, which will in turn lead to job
opportunities for our students.

I have also achieved exemplary scores on my last annual performance evaluation. I also serve on the
Health and Safety committee as the education representative, attending meetings disseminating
information to faculty as well as collating issues.

These are just a few examples of my accomplishments and contributions to HCT. II trust that in
combination with the attached supporting documents that this is sufficient evidence to meet or exceed
the requirements of the position of Senior Lecturer.
