Dear Senior Portfolio Committee,

With this letter, I am seeking approval of my senior portfolio. My goal is to graduate high school and
pursue a career in engineering through continuing my education at a four-year university.

Over the past four years, I have acquired many skills that have prepared me for the future. I have
developed confidence in leadership through participation in clubs and sports, working my way up to
titles such as Logistics department lead, Robotics Vice President, and Varsity Cross Country captain. At
the beginning of my high school experience, I was timid and uncomfortable being in a leadership
position, but now, with the development of skills such as public speaking, organization, and
collaboration, it is a natural response to take a leadership role. Furthermore, I have greatly improved my
capability to interact comfortably with my peers and those above me through development of skills such
as active listening and empathizing with others points of view. Ive also achieved many things over the
past four years, such as a 4.21 GPA, 7th place overall in my Girls Varsity Cross Country division, High
Honors, and perfect attendance during my 10th grade year. Ive achieved a high GPA through skills such
as self-motivation, and Ive learned how to space out my work for myself so that I do not procrastinate.

After graduating from high school, I plan to attend a four-year university. My goal is to attend a
University of California and major in either civil engineering, or mathematics. After graduation, I plan
to earn a teaching credential and/or masters degree, or get a job as an engineer or mathematician. My
ideal career is to be a mathematician for NASA or other engineering company.

I look forward to your review and approval of my portfolio, and am excited for my graduation from high
school and experiences I will gain in the new chapter of life that is to come.
