News
Religion: We are practicing our prayer manners
each day. We read about the Bible. We talked
about the people in our lives that teach us about
Gods love for us. On Thursday, we looked for
things that make our church special. We found St.
Viators outdoor statue high above the church
steps. We went to church for Mass on Thursday
morning.
Reading: We are working in the first book titled
Welcome Back, Superkids. We are identifying
beginning, ending, and vowel sounds in words. We
practiced spelling groups of rhyming words.
Math: We are practicing using math vocabulary
words to name the parts of an addition sentence.
We are using counters, connecting cubes, and are
drawing pictures to help us answer math problems.
We are using a bar picture to help us plug in the
information given in a word problem. This week,
we practiced finding the sum of the addends in an
addition sentence.
Science: We are reading about using our senses.
We watched a video describing the five senses.
Parent Night
Thank you for coming last night. It was great to
meet all of you. I am looking forward to
working closely with each of you as the
school year progresses.

day. Dont forget gym shoes for gym

Star Students
We wrote about 3 things that
we like. Some students wrote
about favorite things to do,
favorite foods, and favorite
places to visit. Each sentence
was written on an ice cream
shape. The students created
ice cream sundaes describing
themselves. The sundaes
are on display in the
hallway outside
our classroom.
