Waves are crashing around memountainous waves. I cant do this. I cant breathe. Im

Ether 2:24-25 in the Book of Mormon reads, :

For behold, ye shall be as a whale in the midst of the sea; for the mountain waves shall dash
upon you. Nevertheless, I will bring you up again out of the depths of the sea . . .
And behold, I prepare you against these things; for ye cannot cross this great deep save I
prepare you against the waves of the sea, and the winds which have gone forth, and the floods
which shall come. Therefore what will ye that I should prepare for you that ye may have light
when ye are swallowed up in the depths of the sea?

I was on my bed, stressing the storms of my life,I remember whenthe first time this passage of

because I really needed it.

The trialsstressors I have since forgotten, but I never have dared forget the comfort provided
from this scripture. And when things get bad, asnd they often do, my drowning soul calls out for
a little help, just the chance to breathe. Thise scripture is always there, and the God who answers
is always there too.
Commented [LJ4]: The word stressors stood out to me for
some reason. Although I know what you mean, it didnt seem
appropriate in describing the storm of your life. Stressors seem
like little things, so substituting it for a word like trials, which is a
little heavier, might fit the tone and context better.

Last year was my year of Job. TAlthough comparing my life to Jobs is admittedly extreme, the
comparisontitle basically sums up how I felt. Trials were crashing around me daily. I didnt think
I could do it, and I was drowning.

At one point, I came to the realization that I needed to move, but such an event was not in my
carefully- laid voyage plans. I didnt have the time or the courage, and I didnt have the money.
So I was trapped in a bad situation with no escape. In a depths of the sea moment, I
remembered that sacred question, and I answered. I told God what I needed to be prepared for
my trials.

general sense, or literally move to live somewhere else?

question, perhaps by saying something like, What should I prepare
for you?

Then God sent a loving light to me. Randomly, I was awarded a $1,000 scholarship I never
applied for nor knew of. This money meant I could afford to leave. Yes, I still lacked time and
courage, but those were the trials I could get through now that I knew that God was indeed there.
Full disclosure: that experience was in the early months of the year of Job. But I had my light
that would get me through my year of Job. God had prepared me for the stormy waves.

would help to make that clear when you first mention moving, and
perhaps add a hint at why, like whether it was to surround yourself
with new people, for example. This will help the reader get into your

invisible, alone, or forgotten. But always rememberyou matter to Him! That is what Ether
