Social Media / Events internship

Hours of work: 30 35 hours per week (to be negotiated). Would consider 2 x part time up
to 20 hours per week)
(full time undergraduates and Masters and PhD students can only work for a maximum 20
hours per week)

Please note that this is a short term position up to 12 December in the first instance with a
potential for further engagement between January March 2018.

Rate of Pay: 8.50 per hour

Description
B-Enterprising, part of the Careers & Employability Service, offers students and graduates
opportunities to develop their enterprise skills and supports those who want to start their
own business.

Role
B-Enterprising is looking for a student or graduate who has excellent social media skills to
help promote our activities to the student body and to provide assistance with coordinating
events.
The successful person will assist with promoting B-Enterprising to students, particularly
through physical presence at events and through social media and will also help with
coordinating the annual Student Christmas Market. This will involve communicating with
students through email, social media and face to face, promoting to students and customers
and liaising with stallholders.
We are looking for a person with a passion for social media coupled with exceptional
knowledge of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. The ideal
person will have a flair for content creation, be confident in building following and
engagement and have an interest in Marketing and PR and Event Management.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is hands-on, creative and able to work fairly
autonomously and take initiative when needed.

Facilities/working environment:
A desk and PC available in the B-Enterprising office. Our office is on the 2nd floor with lift access.

University and the area.

Has an awareness of B-Enterprising and BEA Desirable
structure.
Has an interest in promotion and/or encouraging Desirable
engagement (events, elections, campaigns).
Ability to write and speak Welsh Desirable
